Feeling tired, Xu Li decided to sleep. Andrei waved his hand to send her back to her room before heading to his own. He called Vasily, saying, "When you have a moment, come back and bring some food. Makarov ate the same fruit as your sister today, and his appetite seems a bit off."
Vasily, who had just taken a sip of Cream Soup, sprayed it back into the bowl, causing his wife to glare at him. He waved his hand and asked, "Should we take him to the hospital?"
"Not yet. He doesn't have a fever or any discomfort. I'll keep an eye on him here, and if anything seems wrong, I'll call you. You just get some rest these days."
"Okay, I got it, Dad."
After hanging up, Vasily wiped the table and continued eating. Sophia was helping their child with steak when she turned to Vasily and asked, "What's going on?"
"It's that little guy Makarov," he replied after taking a sip of wine. "I don't know what's up with him; his appetite suddenly increased. My dad is worried there won't be enough food at home and asked me to bring some packaged snacks and fruits."
"I see," Sophia nodded. "At Makarov's age, it's the right time for growth. Eating more is definitely not a bad thing; he's as thin as a stick."
Vasily raised an eyebrow with a mischievous grin. "Don't let his thinness fool you; in certain areas, he's like a little colt. I saw it with my own eyes."
"Enough of that nonsense; let's eat." Sophia rolled her eyes at him. The couple chatted and laughed while eating, while their son sat across from them as an afterthought.
"It's been five days; why hasn't he woken up yet? Should we take him to the hospital? We can't let him sleep forever," Vasily said, glancing at Andrei.
"Your sister didn't sleep this long when she was little," Andrei replied.
"That's because your sister shared food with someone else; Misha eats alone, so of course he sleeps longer," Andrei explained.
Though he said that, he felt uneasy inside. This child had just started to recognize them; surely nothing serious had happened?
Suddenly, Xu Li, who had been sleeping soundly, stretched out with a big yawn. Her body seemed to fold over the bed as the sound of her bones cracking filled the room, causing the two men inside to twitch their eyelids.
With a rumbling sound from her stomach, Xu Li jumped up and rushed to the bathroom while holding her belly. Andrei and Vasily sighed in relief and waited patiently in the living room. About half an hour later, Xu Li emerged from her room dressed in fresh clothes with damp hair. She scratched her flat belly and cheerfully called out, "Good morning, Dad!"
"Huh? You sound so natural saying that!"
Vasily felt that there was something fishy about this, but Andrei just nodded and said, "Go ahead and eat."
Hehe, just when I was feeling hungry.
