On the other side, the Guo Family was equally astonished. After a moment, they regained their composure. They had originally hoped that Elder Liang would step in to at least intimidate Jiang Chen, but to their surprise, Elder Liang appeared before Jiang Chen as if he were a eunuch facing the emperor, devoid of any of his former authority.
"Grandfather, I told you we shouldn't go against Mr. Jiang," Guo Weiqing said.
Old Master Guo's expression darkened, and he fell silent. His son and grandson had been killed; he would not let this grudge go easily.
Elder Liang took Master Wu to a corner and slapped him hard across the face, furious as he said, "All you do is get me into trouble! You've completely ruined my reputation today."
"Master, who exactly is that kid? Why are you so afraid of him?" Master Wu asked, puzzled. His master was a formidable figure in martial arts; even when facing the leaders of the Hidden Sects in Huaxia, he wouldn't show such deference. This left Master Wu deeply confused.
"That kid's cultivation is unfathomable; I'm not his match. It's natural to be wary when offending a high-level practitioner for the first time. But if it happens a second time and we continue to provoke him, then even if we are killed, we can't blame anyone else," Elder Liang said solemnly.
Master Wu fell silent. If even his master was so apprehensive, then Jiang Chen's strength must truly be beyond measure.
An hour later, the cruise ship docked near Black Dragon Island.
Although the weather in Hong Kong Island was poor today, the sea was quite pleasant. The sky was clear with no clouds in sight, the ocean was a deep blue, and gentle waves rolled by. Dolphins occasionally leaped from the water before splashing back down.
Next to Black Dragon Island, a fishing boat had been waiting for quite some time.
At the bow of the fishing boat stood an old man dressed in a black robe, his hood obscuring his face. Beside him were several others, both men and women.
Jiang Chen squinted to get a better look; the black-robed man appeared to be an elderly figure whose face resembled dried wood—he seemed so thin that only skin covered his bones. His deeply sunken eyes left only a narrow slit visible; it was hard to tell if they were open or closed. The man's aura was extremely gloomy, giving off an unsettling feeling as if one were standing on the edge of an abyss.
"It seems Southeast Asia also has its Masters of Magic," Jiang Chen said with a slight smile. Though the black-robed man's cultivation was restrained, it couldn't escape Jiang Chen's keen perception; his strength should not be inferior to Jia Xingliang's.
Jiang Chen wondered if this black-robed man possessed any powerful magical artifacts; if he did, then Jia Xingliang would certainly be at a disadvantage.
"That man in the black robe must be the Feng Shui Master from Southeast Asia. He’s putting on airs; he definitely can't match Master Jia," people on the deck murmured as they leaned over the railing to look towards the fishing boat.
"We don't believe in Feng Shui and metaphysics domestically, yet it seems so popular here on Hong Kong Island. Could it really be effective?" someone whispered.
"I used to be skeptical too, but now I believe it. This world is definitely not as simple as we think," another person replied.
On the deck of the cruise ship, a group of people was engaged in lively discussion when Jia Xingliang finally emerged from below deck and stepped onto the deck.
"Master Jia!"
"Master Jia, we believe in you! You can definitely defeat this arrogant provocateur!"
"Southeast Asia is just a small place with trivial techniques; how could they possibly compare with our Huaxia Magic?"
"But don’t underestimate their Southeast Asian techniques; they can be strange and unpredictable. We still need to be cautious."
