"Grandfather, Mr. Jiang kills without hesitation. It would be wise not to provoke him; otherwise, he might kill again," Guo Weiqing said with concern.
"I'm not calling the police out of fear. Once I understand his background, I won't hold back. Life for a life is only just. Though he is a martial artist, he won't be an exception," Old Master Guo said calmly, still harboring resentment towards Jiang Chen.
"Grandfather, he might truly be an exception," Guo Weiqing remarked, increasingly sensing the depth of Jiang Chen's capabilities.
Jiang Chen was certainly not pretending to be profound.
"Well then, I'll have to call the police when the time comes. Is there really someone on this planet who can defy the law?" Old Master Guo said.
Guo Weiqing remained silent, his expression serious as he watched Jiang Chen.
After a while, with Elder Liang still absent, Master Wu grew impatient and went to summon his master.
"Elder Liang has arrived." Suddenly, there was a commotion on the deck as Elder Liang, a renowned martial arts figure from Hong Kong Island, made his entrance. Almost everyone present recognized him.
The crowd parted to allow Elder Liang to pass through.
Zhao Hun and Ding Shaowen rushed forward to greet Elder Liang, their demeanor subservient and exceedingly respectful.
Elder Liang strode in with an imposing presence.
"Master, that kid injured my disciple," Master Wu said resentfully as he led Elder Liang over and pointed at Jiang Chen.
Elder Liang looked up and upon seeing Jiang Chen, his expression changed. The last time they met at the teahouse, Jiang Chen had easily defeated him with a single strike—a humiliation he could hardly bear. Yet there was nothing he could do; in martial arts contests, skill mattered most. Even if he tried again, it would only bring further disgrace upon himself.
"Elder Liang, it's been a few days; it seems your injury has healed," Jiang Chen said with a faint smile.
At these words, everyone was taken aback.
"Master, you... you know him?" Master Wu asked in astonishment.
Elder Liang felt awkward; it was difficult to admit that he had been defeated by Jiang Chen. He could only nod awkwardly in response.
Master Wu's heart sank as he realized from his master's demeanor that any chance of revenge was slipping away.
"Elder Liang, this is Master Wu, your disciple, right? Your disciple offended me last time in Aodao. I gave him a little lesson, but I didn't expect him to come back today and provoke me again. What do you think we should do about this?" Jiang Chen's voice slowly echoed.
"It was my disciple's fault; I will definitely discipline him properly," Elder Liang quickly replied.
"Then discipline him now," Jiang Chen said.
Seeing that Jiang Chen was not going to let it go, Elder Liang felt helpless. He couldn't afford to offend Jiang Chen at this moment. If he were to be publicly defeated by Jiang Chen again, he would have no face left to show on Hong Kong Island. Thus, he had no choice but to comply with Jiang Chen's request and teach his disciple a lesson.
