Shi Tian was out fishing with a group of friends, while Shi Ye was plotting against him. After being tricked by Shi Tian's antics yesterday, Shi Ye had come to his senses. This kid didn't want to work, and that simply wouldn't do! He needed to find something for him to do.
After chatting with a few old men, Shi Ye went off to find Shi Chui and Yun Wan'er. If he wanted to deal with Shi Tian, he needed to consult with them first.
"Brother, I want to send Xiao Tian away for some experience," Shi Ye said, reclining in his chair after taking a sip of tea. "You think you're so clever? Let's see how you handle being thrown out."
"Send him away? Where to? With the money he has now, he won't even come home on his own!" Shi Chui replied, feeling helpless about Shi Tian's situation.
Shi Tian had been absent from home every day, leaving the food street to Xiao Fei and the Fishing Tackle Shop to Sun Lang. At least Kang Ziyu checked on the food street's operations daily, but Shi Tian didn't even bother with the Fishing Tackle Shop and expected Kang Ziyu to keep an eye on things for him.
If he had known it would turn out this way, he should have caught him right when he came back from Sanya and thrown him into the company for a couple of years of training. Instead, he just let him run wild.
Shi Chui still had some opinions about Shi Tian's work ethic. However, it was pointless; those opinions were just for him to keep. Such things couldn't be taught; they had to be learned through hardship, and Shi Tian had never faced any real hardship!
If they had put him in the company back then, even if it meant losing everything, at least he would have learned a lesson. They could always start another business later; after all, they could definitely open another one in Hainan.
What did it matter if he had money? Just cut him off! I plan to send him to Africa for a few months; there's plenty of money there but nowhere to spend it! With a triumphant smile, Shi Ye shared his thoughts.
Upon hearing that Shi Ye wanted to send Shi Tian to Africa, Yun Wan'er immediately stood up.
"Africa? Isn't it pretty chaotic there? I've heard the streets are full of robberies!" If Shi Ye were sending Shi Tian to a slightly more developed country, Yun Wan'er wouldn't have reacted as strongly. Even if it were a less developed neighboring country, she wouldn't have minded as much.
But just like that, sending Shi Tian off to Africa made her anxious.
What kind of place is Africa? AIDS, malaria, thieves everywhere—add in lions and hyenas—she feared that if Shi Tian went there and fell asleep, a lion might just carry him off!
"It's not that chaotic; we can find a safer country," Shi Ye reassured her. "Besides, I have people there; safety won't be an issue. He'll just have to endure some hardships; life isn't as convenient as it is here."
"When I was his age, I went to Africa alone too. I had no money and no connections, yet I managed just fine."
Once he's there, I'll arrange for two people to keep an eye on him and let him fend for himself for a few months. Otherwise, here in the country, he's got his master and senior brothers looking after him; over there he'll have Kong Yunfei watching over him too—his life is too carefree!
With a firm knock on the table, Shi Ye was resolute about sending Shi Tian to Africa.
This kid dared to play tricks on him; how could he not teach him a lesson? Sending him off to Africa would let him experience some hardships and establish his authority—that seemed only fair!
Seeing Shi Ye's determination, Shi Chui and Yun Wan'er exchanged glances. This wasn't just about sending Shi Tian away for some tough love; there must be some inconvenient reason behind Shi Ye's decision!
"Is it absolutely necessary?" Yun Wan'er pressed on, hoping for another chance.
Shi Tian had never faced hardship before; what would happen if he went to Africa? Would he come back tanned like a little black boy? What if he caught some parasites or something? The thought made Yun Wan'er shudder.
"Letting him go will be good for him. It won't be long—at most three months or half a year. He doesn't even need to work; just let him roam around for a while."
