With one Shi Jiu Gong caught, the bites kept getting better. After more than an hour, we finally started reeling in some big catches! Sun Lang managed to pull up an entire earthworm!
"Don't rush to reel it in; is there a fish on the hook?" Seeing Sun Lang struggling with his line made Oka furrow his brow in concern.
Sun Lang's technique was somewhat clumsy; after snagging the bottom, he kept pulling harder on the line instead of easing off.
This technique is likely learned from Chang Guadi. After hanging on the bottom a hundred times, Chang Guadi's temper is still as wild as ever. Either the line snaps or the hook breaks; in any case, there aren't many successful catches when it comes to reeling them in.
