Early in the morning, I ran hundreds of miles to Chengdu, only to send Shi Ye and the others to the airport. Old Zhang told me to take care of things on your end. Once I finish dealing with that side, I’ll be back next month, so don’t cause me any trouble before I return! After dropping them off at the airport, I handed a key to Shi Tian, and Shi Ye patted Shi Tian on the shoulder, giving him a thousand reminders.
This key was for the containers stored at the Shipyard. The equipment for the small Workshop was sent over and locked up in that Workshop along with the containers. Shi Ye had specifically arranged for someone to keep an eye on it, and Manager Liu was also stationed there.
“No problem, I’ve got this!” Shi Tian said, tucking the key into his pocket and waving his hand.
They couldn’t stay too long here, so he didn’t plan to escort the three of them inside.
“Don’t kid yourself! You’re the one I’m most worried about; just be a bit more careful!” After giving Shi Tian a piece of my mind, I closed the car door behind them as they entered the airport.
Returning to the hotel, I picked up Li Ziyu and Sun Lang and headed over to a senior brother’s place for a lavish meal. After a nap, I found out they had already gone to Wuhou Shrine.
I found a stone table to sit at and took out a few scenic photos while setting our next destination: Wuhan Yangtze, where there was a big Catfish weighing over ten pounds!
Catching such a large Catfish was quite challenging. Even with Wo Liao around, it was hard to say if there were any Catfish that big near the Fishing Spot.
“Forget about that for now; let’s get going!” I decided. We might not be able to fish tonight anyway; better to rest early and fish for Zao Kou tomorrow!
While Shi Tian and his group were on their way, four old men were setting up shop outside a store in Suzhou.
Shi Ye had promised to build ships and deliver ten sets of Routers, but he had run off with Air Force instead!
Shi Ye’s departure didn’t matter much, but it was concerning that Shi Tian wasn’t home; that was a bit torturous.
“Did Xiao Tian’s case get solved? Did they catch anyone?” Rod asked as he replaced his bait with a new worm while Old Kong turned to Old Wen.
That case was reported by Old Wen along with Shi Ye; any updates would definitely go through Old Wen.
“It got solved yesterday. A few young punks who specialize in this kind of thing were caught; they’re currently going through legal proceedings.”
Old Kong wasn’t surprised by this outcome; such cases lacked technical complexity—it was just a matter of willingness to solve them.
It wasn’t that the police were slacking off; these cases had a relatively high resolution rate but required coordination among various police departments, consuming significant manpower and resources. The seized assets might not even cover the investigation costs.
“Where did the client information leak from?” Old Kong wasn’t particularly interested in those petty criminals; he wanted to clarify the case details and see if he could bring Shi Tian back for questioning.
The delivery guy sold it; those young punks bought client information from the Logistics Cabin for some cash—one thousand entries at a time.
They were already inside and would soon enter legal proceedings as well.
Hearing this, Old Wen’s eyes lit up; they couldn’t rush into sentencing just yet.
“Let’s make a call to Xiao Tian and see what he thinks!”
As soon as the phone rang, Shi Tian had just stepped off the plane.
Old Kong laid out the details of the case, and Shi Tian immediately broke into a smile. The culprits had been caught; they were all contractors, and even if they faced execution, it wouldn’t affect the courier service much.
Could the courier service really not control the flow of information? Ten thousand pieces at a time—where did they get the audacity?
"Old man, what do you think about this approach? Charge them a thousand for each piece of information and make them compensate those whose information was sold."
Let the courier service feel the pinch first. Otherwise, given such a serious situation, it would be no problem to have them shut down for three months to sort things out!
A thousand per piece means ten million for ten thousand pieces. This isn’t a fine; it’s merely a negotiated compensation.
