Staring at the two characters written on the table, Shi Tian felt an odd discomfort. How could such simple characters look so exhausting?
"Ye Ge, you’ve made a mistake in your hidden character; you missed a stroke. Hurry up and fix it! Otherwise, it’s quite hard to look at!" Shi Tian quickly reminded him as he noticed Shi Ye had already set down the brush.
A character missing a leg—no wonder it looked so off.
"You think I’m missing a stroke? Let me tell you, it’s hidden! You should hide something too; if you can’t keep your words to yourself, I’ll help you hide them!"
"Ye Ge, you’re not a god. You can’t digest all that information at once. This time, the old man helped you keep it under wraps; otherwise, with just that router, it would be difficult for you to even leave the country in the future!"
"I’ll find someone to frame it for you and hang it in your bedroom. Just look at it twice a day; whenever your hands or mouth itch, you can stare at it for half an hour!"
Shi Ye's words made Shi Tian explode with frustration. Hanging that character in his bedroom? How could he possibly sleep? Wouldn’t he just dream of that hidden character falling down and hitting him on the head?
"Ye Ge, your hiding is too obvious; anyone can see through it. The highest level of hiding is to conceal without form, hiding the entire character and leaving only a clumsy one behind."
Seeing Shi Ye remain unresponsive, Shi Tian picked up a stack of rice paper from the table and blocked the hidden character behind it. After thinking for a moment, still feeling uneasy, he took out a ruler, pressed down on the paper, gently tore off the hidden character, and tossed it into the trash can. If it looked clumsy, then so be it—he accepted that!
Once Shi Ye had someone frame this character properly, he would definitely hide it away himself. He didn’t have much experience in hiding things, but finding a deep mountain and digging a deep pit to bury it would be considered well-hidden!
If that didn’t work, he could take a boat out to the deep sea one day, tie it to a lead weight with fishing line, and toss it into the ocean—no one would ever find it!
"I’m heading to Shenzhen soon; Air Force is waiting over there. We’re going to Nanbei Wei for a couple of days; they’ve been catching big fish there lately." After teasing Shi Tian, Shi Ye stood up to ask.
Nanbei Wei refers to Dongsha, which consists of Dongsha Atoll, Nanwei Beach, and North Wei Beach. It’s said there are plenty of fish there, but the current is quite strong. To fish there successfully, they’d need to prepare several kilograms of external lead.
"Are we going now? I heard the current is strong; we need to bring more large external lead!" Shi Ye suggested fishing plans that Shi Tian certainly wouldn’t refuse. After all, if he turned down the offer, he’d have nothing else to do; going to the shipyard now wouldn’t help either—without Shi Ye’s say-so, he probably wouldn’t even get through the shipyard’s gate.
"Let’s go! If we don’t hurry up, we’ll miss our flight! There’s plenty of external lead on the boat; no need to prepare more!" After saying this, he got up and headed downstairs to call the hotel ahead and have them send a car over quickly.
After tossing and turning all night, as soon as they boarded the plane, Shi Tian fell into a deep sleep. With only two hours of flight time left, if he didn’t grab some sleep now, he wouldn’t have any energy left for fishing later!
As soon as the plane landed, Air Force was already waiting at the airport entrance. Unfortunately, he hadn’t even arranged for a car; he had come on foot.
"Brother, at least call for a taxi! We can’t possibly walk out of the airport!" Following Air Force outside, Shi Tian initially thought Air Force had rented a car parked in the lot. However, after walking out of the airport without finding any vehicle in sight...
"Where can we call from? Can we even call? Let’s hurry up! We’ve already walked halfway; just a few more steps!" Looking back at Shi Tian with urgency in his eyes, Air Force continued striding forward until they were almost jogging.
Shenzhen Bao'an Airport was right by the sea; stepping outside led directly to a dock—though it was just a cargo dock.
