He turned around and took a router out of the cabinet, unwrapped the packaging, and plugged the network cable into the panel. He opened the window and called out to Kang Ziyu outside, "Xiao Yu, don’t let anyone touch this router on the computer desk!"
After giving that instruction, he pulled out another router and stuffed it into the fishing box. Turning to Shi Ye, he said, "Let’s go, Ye Ge! We need to head over now! Otherwise, Old Kong and the others will arrive soon! They said they would come right after getting off the boat!"
Calculating the time, it seemed Old Kong was indeed coming quickly. He had only been dealing with malicious after-sales issues for a few hours, and considering their short distance of less than three kilometers from where they disembarked, they might have already reached the village entrance!
"Is this what you call a router? You’re just leaving it here?" Shi Ye leaned in to take a closer look at the router on Shi Tian's desk and asked.
"Of course! If I don't leave it here, where else would I put it? Can you help me find a place to store it later? The one at home was given to Old Kong as junk by Lao Shi." Shi Tian complained, his eyes lighting up as he spoke to Shi Ye.
It was definitely not a problem for Shi Ye to find a place for the router; he had so many hideouts that he probably couldn't even count them all. Whether domestically or internationally, finding a secure spot shouldn't be difficult.
He unplugged the router from the computer desk, opened the fishing box, stuffed it inside, and lifted the fishing box by its handle. "Give me the car keys; I’ll find a place for this. Since the old man is coming over, he might stay here for a night. Tomorrow we can head to Zhoushan together!"
The boat was already in Zhoushan; there was no rush to see it. First, he needed to find a place for the router and then meet up with those old men later!
"We need to find a spot with strong mobile signal; otherwise, we won’t be able to make calls once we’re at sea!" He reminded Shi Ye as Shi Tian quickly pulled out the car keys. "Let’s hurry! We can’t let those old men block us in!"
"Can we still make calls? What do you mean?" Just as they were about to leave, Shi Ye turned back to stare at Shi Tian. "Are you made of toothpaste? You don’t squeeze unless you’re going to spit something out! Why didn’t you mention how important it is that we can make calls?"
Looking at the fishing box in his hands, Shi Ye thought maybe he should take one of those routers with him. If they could make calls at sea, it would be much more convenient than using the internet!
"Let’s get another set; let’s make it twenty-one sets!" He reminded Shi Tian, who was pushing him toward the door.
"Let’s go quickly! I can already hear the old man’s car approaching; if we don’t leave now, it’ll be too late!" Pushing Shi Ye out of the room, Shi Tian was genuinely anxious.
He hadn’t paid attention earlier, but now calculating the time made him realize that if Shi Ye didn’t hurry up, they might really get blocked by Old Kong and his crew!
Watching Shi Ye leave, he hurried over to greet his father-in-law. He had left Father-in-law waiting in the yard for quite some time; if he didn’t go over to say hello soon, he might end up in trouble!
"Kong Shu, Jun Ge, Lu Ge—when did you arrive? Why didn’t you come inside? A while ago I got some Biluochun tea and saved some just for you! Let me brew some for you!"
Dongting Biluochun has "Dongting" in its name but has no relation to Dongting Lake. It is named after Dongting Mountain in Taihu where it is produced.
This tea was brought over by Liu Yi Gonggong a few days ago; it came in a small tin. He said he picked it himself from someone else's tea garden—it tasted quite good but wasn’t anything extravagant.
A couple of days ago, Yun Wan'er and her friends also bought some; their packaging was much fancier than this little tin but tasted pretty much the same—no significant difference.
"Don’t worry about that; there’s tea here. You’ve been in Taihu for so long—I've heard there are Knife Fish in Taihu? Have you ever caught any?" Kong Yunfei asked as he pointed at the teacup in front of him.
