Wang Ergou reminded Gan Ha Ge, who turned to look towards the tank, glancing at the large Huchen in the Yu Hu. A thirty-pound Huchen, even in a large Yu Hu, was struggling to stay alive. Seeing the Huchen gasping for breath, Gan Ha Ge felt too embarrassed to pull it out for a photo.

"Let's set up another rod," Chang Gan suggested. He rigged a larger bait on one rod and a smaller one with Xiao Mai Sui on another. If there were still no bites, he would set up yet another rod to guard both the Azure Catfish and the Huchen.
The Grass Carp and Carp in this area were impossible to catch; the bottom was overrun with smaller fish. If they used dough as bait, the hook would likely be overwhelmed by these Xiao Yu. One Bait Fish was sacrificed; it floated motionless as Shui Bi Zhang reeled in the rod and replaced it with another.
Once again, as he cast out, before the float could even settle, it went completely dark. Lifting the rod with a swift motion, he felt a heavy tug—finally, something was on the line. Sitting on his Fishing Box and gripping the rod tightly, he braced himself; as long as there were fish, he felt he had endless strength.
The fish on the rod struggled fiercely but wasn't too large. Even while exerting force, Shui Bi Zhang could still manage to control the rod. "How big? What kind of fish?" Da Gui Wang immediately asked upon noticing Shui Bi Zhang's excitement.
"Not too big, around ten pounds or so. It’s three meters deep; it hit hard—probably a Huchen! The fight is quite persistent."
"Let’s drop it down a bit more; we need deeper water for this size!" Shui Bi Zhang joked while gradually applying more pressure on the rod.
"Three meters deep? That deep? How much deeper can we go? Three and a half? Surely not four meters!" Da Gui Wang was still fishing at around two and a half meters, unaware that Shui Bi Zhang had already set his depth to three meters. Since there were fish at three meters, why wait? He quickly reeled in his rod and adjusted his depth to three meters as well.
"What size bait are you using?" Da Gui Wang asked hurriedly after adjusting his float and checking his bucket.
"Ten centimeters; they’re biting right away—one after another big Hei Piao."
Hearing Shui Bi Zhang’s information, Xiao Feng immediately reeled in his own rod. If Shui Bi Zhang was fishing at three meters, then he would go for four meters. With ten-centimeter bait catching ten-pound fish, if he started with a twenty-centimeter bait, he should be able to hook something around twenty pounds!
If he managed to catch a twenty-pound fish soon enough to practice his Xia Shou technique, and if it worked well, he could switch to twenty-centimeter bait for rice fishing—surely that would land him some big catches.
Unfortunately, finding twenty-centimeter bait was difficult. If all else failed, maybe he could get some Qiao Zui? They looked similar enough; their effectiveness should be comparable!
The rod was set up, and with a flick, the bait fish was cast out. It was a bit too large and went off course, but that wasn't a problem; it would find the Huchen on its own!
The large bait fish dragged the float around, making it impossible to read the signals. Gripping the rod, I decided to go with the flow and see what happened.
Xiao Feng was adjusting the depth, while Wang Ergou and Tan Zi were also making their adjustments. Compared to Xiao Feng, they were much more professional.
Shui Bi Zhang's fish came up, and the others quickly rushed over to help. It was slightly larger than Shui Bi Zhang had anticipated, weighing more than thirteen kilograms. Unfortunately, the fish were a bit lean this season; otherwise, it could have easily exceeded sixteen kilograms in length.
After enjoying the catch and taking some photos, I noted that this fish couldn't be marked as a trophy here. What a pity! The largest fish successfully landed in this area weighed forty-two kilograms! After snapping a picture, Tan Zi casually mentioned something before turning back to his fishing spot.
