When Air Force brought Shi Tian over, Lu Ya immediately stood up to greet them warmly. Wearing protective gear and boxing gloves, he pulled Shi Tian to the table, which had another set of protective gear laid out.
"Come on, Xiao Tian, put these on! Let's get some practice in!" Lu Ya exclaimed. "I still vividly remember those two punches from last time! After that, I thought long and hard and came up with a few moves to counter you. Today, we’re going to train hard!"
Having come all the way to the Indian Ocean, Air Force and Lu Ya certainly wouldn’t let this opportunity slip by. If they didn’t give Shi Tian a good lesson today, it would be a disservice after all those previous encounters!
"Lu Ge, hold on! Let’s talk this out!" Seeing the situation turn unfavorable, Shi Tian tried to make a run for it but was quickly pressed back into a chair by Lu Ya.
With a helmet clamped onto Shi Tian's head, Lu Ya yanked his hands to put on the boxing gloves. Standing at the door of the cabin, Air Force immediately retreated to the second floor.
"Jun Ge, come down! I want to challenge you!" Lu Ya and Air Force were clearly gearing up to take him down. Lu Ya had trained before; Shi Tian knew that well. Fighting Lu Ya wasn’t just about strength; if he wasn’t careful, he could end up getting beaten badly!
One had to pick their battles wisely. Lacking confidence against Lu Ya, Shi Tian decided to pick on Air Force first!
"Alright! I accept your challenge, but only after you defeat Lu Ge!" With a slight smile, Air Force showed no intention of stepping into the ring just yet.
"Enough talk! Here comes my attack!" Not giving Shi Tian a chance to hesitate, Lu Ya charged straight at him.
This punch wasn’t meant to land; it was just intended to make Shi Tian hurry up and defend himself without wasting any more time!
As Lu Ya threw his punch, Shi Tian’s plan fell apart. He took two steps back and turned to run but was caught by a punch from Lu Ya on his arm. Thankfully, it didn’t hurt too much; Lu Ya had held back!
Once entangled with Lu Ya, there was no escaping; he could only focus on defense. Left punch, right punch—every now and then he’d take another hit from Lu Ya. It didn’t hurt too much but was definitely exhausting!
After a few minutes of this back-and-forth, Shi Tian found a way around it: whenever Lu Ya attacked him, he would rush in and hug him tightly. After all, Lu Ya wasn’t a Thai fighter; he couldn’t exactly bite his ear off!
"Lu Ge, let’s take a break! Let me drink some water before we continue; that’s how they do it on TV!" After enduring over ten punches in just a few minutes, Shi Tian once again wrapped his arms around Lu Ya.
Shi Tian realized that his strength was greater than Lu Ya's; as long as he held onto him tightly, there were no moves left for him. Besides, there was no way for him to break free.
If he could just wear out Lu Ya’s energy, then he could teach him a lesson!
"Are you an octopus or something? Let go of me! I’ll have a smoke and then we can continue. I’ll teach you a couple of moves so you don’t waste all that energy!"
Removing his gloves, Lu Ya lit a cigarette and sank into the sofa while casually instructing Shi Tian.
He absolutely had to teach this kid how to attack; otherwise, every time they sparred, Shi Tian would just rush in and hug him—who could handle that?
Only when Shi Tian learned how to attack would he have a chance to strike back. After finally luring this kid out for some training, there was no way he could let it go without giving him a proper lesson!
After finishing a cigarette, Shi Tian gained the true teachings of Lu Ya, and the next round began.
Spotting an opening, Shi Tian swung a punch, but Lu Ya dodged swiftly and landed a powerful blow right on Shi Tian's nose. Shi Tian felt the sting! Stuffing a wad of tissue up his nose, he realized that the technique Lu Ya had taught him wasn't as effective as he had hoped.
Reflecting on his earlier missteps, he sought another opportunity. This time, he threw a hook punch, only to end up with a black eye!
"Lu Ge, you did that on purpose!" Shi Tian thought, feeling frustrated. It seemed like Lu Ya had intentionally exposed that weakness just to catch him off guard!
All's fair in love and war! Who could he blame for his lack of skill? With a grin, Lu Ya watched Shi Tian's face, noting how the uneven panda eye marred his handsome features.
He resolved to find another chance to even things out; symmetry was essential for aesthetic standards!
