After correcting Shi Tian's assignment, Yi Laotou frowned and asked, "What are you thinking? Do you want to take over all ten houses at the end of the street? Each of them could give you a Fang Zi, and you’d have one shop for each house?"
To Yi Laotou, this method didn’t seem very clever. While it might be efficient in the short term, it had significant drawbacks in the long run. After all, people are diverse, and the shops run by this group would be quite uneven.
"That's not possible. I had someone look into it before; only three of them can use this method. The rest won’t work. Let’s focus on securing those three first! We can deal with the others later! Those will require a high price!"
If one household can open two or three shops, then securing four or five households for Shi Tian's ten shops would suffice. Once the food street opens, property prices here are sure to rise, along with rent. Yi Laotou would still have a headache with those ten shops!
Just as Yi Laotou was sent to the store, Li Ziyu called, saying that a few people had come to play in the snow and wanted him to pick them up.
Originally, Yun Wan'er wanted to persuade Li Ziyu and the others to have hot pot from Sichuan. After being frozen in the snow for two days, she was craving the spicy red oil. However, upon hearing that Li Yunfei had met with Shi Tian, she decided against hot pot and rushed off to Sanya!
Upon arriving at the airport and getting into the car, they headed straight for the express delivery point.
Yun Wan'er had already purchased Hu Shuyi's gift with Li Ziyu. They packed up the large bag Shi Tian had prepared for Li Yunfei yesterday, labeled it, scanned to pay for the delivery fee, and sent the tracking number to Li Yunfei—everything was ready!
At the store, Yi Laotou and Sun Lang were already setting up their stall.
With a quick lift of his rod, Yi Laotou pulled up a palm-sized Little Pufferfish and casually tossed it back into the sea.
Seeing the Pufferfish made Shi Tian's eyes light up; Yi Laotou had released it—this opportunity was rare.
He quickly grabbed his rod and squeezed beside Yi Laotou without bothering with a Fish Bucket this time, gently tossing his line.
"Sister Lang, how’s your shop coming along? Will it be open before New Year?"
After returning from sea yesterday and selling fish in front of Su Xueyi, worried about insufficient funds, he even borrowed a fish from Shi Tian to fill in.
Xiaoxue was busy with Alive; she found someone for simple renovations and planned to install the stove tomorrow. She was also recruiting chefs these days—hopefully they could open next week!
Previously they visited Father-in-law again. After going around, Father-in-law generously donated fifty thousand. Sun Lang also contributed another fifty thousand under his family’s name.
With an additional hundred thousand budget, their progress immediately picked up. Sun Lang had gone out to sea with Shi Tian for a few days while Su Xueyi secured and started renovating their shop.
Once the equipment arrives and they hire chefs, they could open for business.
"You’re enjoying being a hands-off manager way too much!" he said sourly as he lifted his rod again and caught another Little Pufferfish.
Removing the hook, he tossed the Pufferfish into Yi Laotou's Fish Bucket and replaced it with a piece of Xia Rou before casting again.
"Why are you throwing that thing into my bucket? Just toss it back into the sea!" Yi Laotou protested with an eye-roll.
"You can’t let go of fish once you catch them!" Shi Tian replied as he casually cast again at the same spot.
Sun Lang had already discussed things on his end; they would run their own shop and cover all investments themselves. Shi Tian would provide Fang Zi for a ten percent share.
Shi Tian didn't mind this at all. He had already discussed with Li Ziyu about cultivating Su Xueyi's business acumen, aiming to grow the business step by step, striving to break even within three months and open a branch within six months. The ambition was quite grand; aiming for profitability in three months in the restaurant industry was still a bit challenging.
However, Li Ziyu's encouragement was effective. Just look at Su Xueyi's determination—she was becoming a strong woman!
There was still no movement from Yi Laotou's side when Shi Tian caught another Pufferfish. He unhooked it and tossed it back into Yi Laotou's Fish Bucket. Seeing Yi Laotou about to speak, Shi Tian jumped in first: "Sister Lang, you left me a ten percent share in that shop. If it were someone else, I wouldn't bother with the management and operations. But given our relationship, I think we need someone to guide us at the beginning!"
"I don’t have much experience in this area either, so before we open, I'll ask my Master to give you some pointers. That should be enough face, right?"
As soon as Shi Tian finished speaking, the corner of Yi Laotou's mouth twitched slightly. Was he saying he wanted to take money without doing any work? Was he already assigning tasks?
"Yi Laoyez, come on, let's smoke!" This would be a bit of a hassle for you! He tossed the rod aside, pulled out a cigarette, and lit it for Yi Laotou. If he could get Yi Laotou to offer some guidance, that would be great!
After lighting a cigarette, Yi Laotou glanced at Sun Lang and turned to Shi Tian: "I like this kid, Xiao Lang. He's diligent and responsible; he's a good kid! Don't worry, once the shop is set up, I'll help you out. But you still need to find Xiao Tian to teach your chef; Fang Zi is something he came up with himself, and he's most familiar with it."
Once he finished speaking, Shi Tian pulled up his rod again and caught another Pufferfish. He unhooked it and casually tossed it back into Yi Laotou's Fish Bucket.
"Can you throw it further? Can we catch some decent fish? Why are we only catching Pufferfish? Did they offend you?"
Shi Tian continued tossing Pufferfish into Yi Laotou's Fish Bucket one after another, which started to annoy Yi Laotou. If you're going to fish, you shouldn't just toss them back into the sea like that! What are you doing throwing away my money?
"Master, you have no idea how boring deep-sea fishing can be." He cast his hook again but didn’t catch anything for a long time. Now that he was back on land, if he didn’t catch a few more fish in succession, he felt like he wouldn’t know how to fish anymore! With a look of grievance towards Yi Laotou, he hooked on Xia Rou and continued casting his line; he had to fill Yi Laotou's Fish Bucket with something other than Pufferfish!
