After a casual chat, I felt a twitch in my hand and cast the line to fish. The sensation of the fishing line was exhilarating; every struggle on the Fish Hook was distinctly felt. This fish felt a bit odd, not like any regular catch! With my eyes closed, I focused and began to alternate my hands to reel in the line.
Did I really just catch a fish with a single line? Turning to see Shi Tian busy reeling in, I couldn't help but feel a headache coming on. My son was a bit foolish! Here I was selling Fishing Rods, and he was fishing without one right in front of others! If everyone learned to do that, who would buy my Fishing Rods in the future? A single Rod could cost thousands!
I glanced over at Oka and the others behind me, Wang Ergou and Sun Lang. Thankfully, they hadn't asked for a refund on their Rods yet! In no time at all, a ten-pound Skinned Fish was pulled up. It might look ugly, but once you skin it, it's great for hot pot or braising.
The real enjoyment wasn't just eating the fish; it was giving the Skinned Fish away that brought satisfaction—such a stress reliever! As soon as the fish was up, Shi Chui confiscated it from Shou Si. The whole boat had been trying to catch fish with their Rods but hadn’t had any luck. How could it be fair that he just dragged one up with a line? If this kept up, what would happen to the Fishing Rod business? Each Rod cost thousands!
Was there really more Skinned Fish around here? With Shou Si's catch taken away, Shi Tian looked helpless. He poked at the fish's eye and had already planned out where to cut. Skinned Fish are found in the north; in March and April, they can be caught in the Yellow Sea and East China Sea. During that time, they swim in schools, making it possible not only to catch them one after another but also to net them.
Especially around Fujian, these fish were becoming a staple economic catch. They were palm-sized and sold for seven Ten Dollars per pound—business was booming! There weren't many around here in the South China Sea. Shi Tian had fished in Sanya before but hadn't expected to encounter them so deep into the ocean.
Not to mention here; I had caught them before in Xisha. These fish are migratory; they don’t swim fast but can cover great distances! Looking at the Skinned Fish on deck, Oka casually replied.
After half an evening of fishing, Sun Lang managed to pull up a tuna weighing over fifty pounds. Oka also hooked one but only managed to reel in its head before it was robbed halfway by a Sea Wolf. Shi Tian had an edge over Oka; when he caught his tuna, it came aboard with half its body still attached!
This was thanks to his Wheel having an advantage; with enough horsepower and quick reeling speed, otherwise, his outcome would have been no better than Oka’s! We must have encountered a pack of Sea Wolves! When had we ever suffered such losses? This was unacceptable—let’s go after them!
Running back to the kitchen, I grabbed a knife and swiftly broke down half a Tuna, slicing it into Sashimi. I picked up a piece and tasted it; the texture was delightful!
I found the Iron Plate Rod under Shi Chui's name and switched to the Fishing Set, hanging a piece of Yellowfin Tuna Meat on the hook. I dashed to the Stern, swung my arm, and immediately hooked a fish!
"Why are you sulking over a few Sea Wolves?" I glanced back at Shi Tianyi, who smiled slightly.
As Shi Tian began to change his Rod, Wang Ergou knew exactly what he was planning! Why would you fish for Sea Wolves when you had perfectly good Tuna? Were you out of your mind?
This wasn't sulking; this was treating guests! I invited them to enjoy King Mackerel Sashimi, the finest cuts from the belly—surely that was high enough quality!
As soon as I finished speaking, a Sea Wolf over a meter long was dragged alongside the boat. The Net went into the water, and with a flick of my wrist, I tossed it onto the deck.
Grabbing its tail, I lifted the Sea Wolf up, swung the back of my knife for anesthesia, and with one swift cut, separated its head from its body!
After thawing one out, I switched to another piece of Yellowfin Tuna Meat and cast again!
Shi Tian was relentless with the Sea Wolves, and Oka wouldn’t stand idly by either. His experience was even worse than Shi Tian's; while Shi Tian still had half a Tuna left, Oka's catch came up with nothing but a head!
Switching to the Fishing Set again, the Avengers gained another member!
Seeing the fierce determination in both of them, it was impossible to stay on the port side. Shi Chui reeled in his line and ran over to Sun Lang and Wang Ergou!
The two were having a blast killing fish over there when Wang Ergou hooked another one. After some time spent circling around Stern, my hands felt lighter as yet another fish head came aboard—the Avengers gained yet another member!
While the starboard side remained peaceful, the port side was a sea of blood. The people on Man Cang Hao next door were left dumbfounded—were these folks from Mini Air Force insane?
Soon enough, they too felt the greetings from the Sea Wolves, causing the Avengers to grow even stronger as their ranks expanded onto Man Cang Hao!
It seemed that catching this Tuna was destined to fail; one would be snatched away after another until the Avengers grew yet again.
Sea Wolves are social creatures, and this particular group was unusually large. Everyone was caught up in a frenzy; they simply threw down their Hooks without a second thought!
After an hour of relentless fishing, thanks to their overwhelming numbers, the Sea Wolf pack decisively triumphed over the Avengers!
