"Don't worry, Brother You! Xiao Tian, you're a true brother! But why didn't you leave a few more bottles for me? Why come all the way to deliver just these two?" Pingtou Ge asked, puzzled after feeling touched.
"Of course! If there were that much alcohol on the boat, do you think I would want to sail for hours just to bring you these two bottles? Hurry up and serve the dishes; maybe we can drink a bit more. Otherwise, we'll just be left with two empty bottles!" Shi Tian said as he took the beer from Pingtou Ge and put it back in the fridge.
Once all the dishes were served, Shi Tian brought out the last dish. The two bottles of wine had already been nearly emptied by a few people.
He placed his glass of wine in front of Pingtou Ge and said, "Brother, I still need to drive the boat later, so I won't drink. You can finish this for me!"
Taking care of Brother-in-law starts with the little things; I’ll try to win him over before the New Year!
After lunch, Shi Tian ran back to his room and slept until four o'clock. He needed to rest well for tonight's night fishing!
While everyone was out of the cabin, he took out two bottles of alcohol and placed them in the kitchen, prepared for Pingtou Ge's Sugar-Coated Bombshell. He realized that this kitchen was safe since no one else would come in besides him.
Checking the time, it was time to find a fishing spot. Coming out of his room, he looked at everyone's afternoon catch; not a single tuna had been caught.
"Pingtou Ge, where should we fish tonight?" He and Oka could find fish, but when it came to familiarity with these waters, no one on the boat compared to Pingtou Ge.
"Let's head west! I'll give you a coordinate; check it out when we get there." Without hesitation, Pingtou Ge replied.
"Alright, let's reel in the lines! We're changing fishing spots!"
As soon as he finished speaking, he turned and dove into the cabin to notify Manchuan Hao over the radio to get ready; it was time to fish for tuna!
Manchuan Hao had a decent catch today, landing two Dajinqiang. One got away after diving under the boat and cutting the line; the other slipped away when it exerted too much force while being reeled in.
Although they hadn’t caught a tuna yet, those two bites had given them immense confidence, especially with four swollen thighs still on board!
The Mini Air Force sent a message saying they needed to change fishing spots quickly! Putting down the radio, Man Cang rushed to the deck to inform Shui Bi Zhang.
"Changing fishing spots? What are we waiting for? Reel in quickly!" He shouted as he pushed the throttle forward to bring in the lines as fast as possible.
On Man Cang Hao, they mostly used Electric Reels; aside from Shui Bi Zhang, most were using Shaking reels. At his command, it was quite a spectacular scene.
Fishing at sea is all about those few bites. As long as there are fish around, these Old Bosses wouldn’t complain at all!
Arriving at the new fishing spot one after another, they checked the Ocean Current. Once they turned on the Fish Finder and confirmed that the water depth was sufficient with a good density of Hai Li and Xiao Yu, everything seemed fine!
The boat was anchored properly as they checked the time.
Today was the fourth day of the lunar month; at 3:32 PM, Liu Yi was at twelve. The early tide was at 3:12 PM and the late tide was twelve hours and twenty-four minutes later, which meant 3:36 PM. Adjusting for time zones, this area’s late tide would be around 4:30 PM.
The tide would begin to recede in twelve minutes, with today's low tide scheduled for four forty.
When fishing, one would typically fish during the second and eighth phases of the tide for deep-sea boat fishing, while shore fishing is best during the eighth phase. An hour and fifteen minutes after the tide starts to go out marks the second phase, which means that bites should start around five fifty-five. It was time to get ready.
Everyone boarded the Bait Cage, preparing to start fishing! After securing the boat, Shi Tian stepped out of the cabin and called out a reminder. He quickly tossed a Xiaomi into the Bait Cage, pulled up a Live Pool Fish, and hooked it on. Off we go!
Tonight, they had changed their Fishing Spot to Pingtou Ge near Shi Chui. The two of them positioned themselves with Shi Chui in the middle. As darkness fell, it was Shi Chui's first experience with deep Sea Fishing, and he felt uneasy not keeping an eye on things.
The pool fish they had were caught earlier in the morning when Sun Lang was testing the Fish Layer. There were about five or six of them, all kept in a small bucket for the purpose of catching Tuna later that night.
Without needing Shi Tian's reminder, everyone eagerly cast their lines. However, they were all using live Squid, which was also quite effective and Tuna's favorite bait.
"Lao Shi," Shi Tian cautioned, "don't pack the Bait Cage too tightly. After you drop the line, give it a little shake now and then to attract Xiao Yu. The more Xiao Yu there are, the more likely you'll draw in Dajinqiang."
Watching Shi Chui carelessly stuff Xiaomi into the Bait Cage, Shi Tian quickly intervened. "Why not just throw the shrimp directly into Hai Li? What's the point of using a Bait Cage?"
Upon hearing Shi Tian's explanation, Shi Chui suddenly understood—so that's how you use shrimp! He had thought it was just for baiting.
However, saying it was for baiting wasn't entirely wrong; it just meant attracting not the target fish but rather a swarm of middlemen instead.
