Breakfast was served, and Li Ziyu proudly descended from the top of the boat, holding Shi Tian's phone, followed by the dejected Eleven and September.
Li Ziyu was finished; Shi Tian had a knack for catching fish, and there was no escaping his grasp for Xiao Yu in this lifetime. Shi Tian had put a lot of thought into the eight breakfasts prepared, eagerly waiting for September to fulfill her promise.
The four others were still battling at the side of the boat. With fish biting well, they certainly weren't hungry. Just moments ago, Air Force had pulled up an eighty-pound Yellowfin Tuna, and Shi Ye had also caught a seventy-pound Bigeye Tuna. They had no time to eat!
After breakfast, Shi Tian took out snorkeling equipment and distributed it among the three; they were just one opportunity away! As they reeled in their lines, a flock of seabirds appeared ahead, signaling the presence of fish schools. "I'll steer the boat over there!" After scanning the sea with binoculars for a while, Shi Tian chuckled; the chance had finally come!
Once he confirmed the ocean current, he stopped the boat near the fish school. The group quickly cast their lines, and Shi Tian promptly baited a live fish and tossed it in. He had accumulated some skills in this technique; last time he caught a Sailfish weighing over forty pounds—a memory that was hard to forget.
Just over ten minutes passed when the rod trembled, and the line shot out. He lifted the rod; he had hooked something big! "Ouch! My wrist!" he exclaimed. "Pingtou Ge, help me with the rod! This fish is huge!" As he pushed the electric reel, Shi Tian let out a yelp that startled Pingtou Ge beside him.
Pingtou Ge wouldn't miss this chance to help Shi Tian with reeling in the fish. He planted the rod against the side of the boat and took over from Shi Tian's hands. "Don't worry, bro! No matter how big it is, I'll get it up for you! Trust my skills! You go rest for a bit! Let September and Eleven give you some ice to ease your wrist!"
With the rod now in Pingtou Ge's hands, Shi Tian stepped back two paces and leaned toward Air Force. "Jun Ge, let’s lower the small boat! I’ll take them snorkeling!"
Air Force had a small boat on board, but Shi Tian had never seen one before and didn't know how to operate it. After glancing at Shi Tian and then at Pingtou Ge who was tangled with a big fish, Air Force sighed.
"Be careful when you go snorkeling; make sure their safety is your priority. If anything happens, contact us via radio—we’ll be around this area!" After advising Shi Tian, he released a small boat.
Under Shi Tian's guidance, three lovely ladies boarded one after another as the small boat started up and quietly drifted away from Air Force's vessel, covering more than half of Hai Li in one go.
To the north was Coral Island, while to the south lay Ganquan Island. "Which island are we heading to?" Shi Tian asked as he glanced back at Air Force's ship.
"Let’s go to Ganquan Island! It’s an uninhabited island and quite far from Quanfu Island to the north—usually no one goes there!" Li Ziyu stated confidently; her goal was clear: they were headed for Ganquan Island.
Ganquan Island was located at the westernmost part of Yongle Atoll. Further southwest across seven Hai Li lay Treasure Island—the westernmost island of Yongle Atoll. They couldn't approach Treasure Island nor get close to three Hai Li because it was guarded by Steel Gun Guardians who prohibited any proximity.
Historical records mention Ganquan Island dating back to ancient times; it was noted during that era as well. It is also the only island in Xisha with freshwater—hence its name. The small island measures seven meters long and five meters wide, featuring an ancient spring in its center—making it one of the larger small islands in Xisha.
Like Quanfu Island, Gong Ya Island, and Yin Yu Island, they are at most one square meter in size, not much larger than Shi Tian's courtyard.
Years ago, we helped the Soviet Union support the Vietnamese Communists in their fight against the Old Americans. We provided all the logistics and even sent people to the front lines. After nearly ten years of conflict, the monkeys finally settled down at home. However, during that time, the Old Maozi had constant friction with our Northeast's Treasure Island, Xia Shou. Consequently, these monkeys followed behind the Maozi and targeted Ganquan Island and Xia Shou.
Just after New Year's Day that year, Yue Hao, the monkeys came over on a warship and fired ten cannon shots, destroying the Tang Dynasty monument and causing casualties! At that time, we were poor and had no boats, so we sent four small vessels that were only a few meters longer than the Air Force ship. We also intercepted Ruan Shao's telegram and decided to give them a good beating.
The battle commenced, and we reclaimed Ganquan Island, Treasure Island, and Coral Island. We sank one of the monkeys' warships, killed several monkeys, and captured one monkey along with a consultant from the Bald Eagle.
To secure these three islands, which together do not even cover four square kilometers, we sacrificed eighteen martyrs and injured over sixty heroes. Currently, on South Treasure Island, several wells have been dug to provide fresh water, though it all has a muddy taste.
To protect this isolated piece of land, the Steel Gun Guardians have been drinking this muddy water for nearly fifty years. Fortunately, we can grow vegetables here, producing seven thousand pounds annually. We also planted many Coconut Trees, making it somewhat self-sufficient. The coconuts on Treasure Island are not to be picked; they are strategic resources. When typhoons come and supply ships cannot reach us, those coconuts are what save lives!
