After scolding Old Lin for a few moments, Shi Tian took out his phone, turned on the surveillance, and displayed the footage from the store in front of Old Lin.
Before Shi Tian could say anything, Old Lin immediately covered Shi Tian's phone screen and said, "We are in the service industry. Whether on or off duty, our goal is to provide excellent service to our customers!"
"I'll personally handle this customer. Just focus on reeling in your fish and don't interrupt! Your float is sinking; if you don’t get back soon, your rod will be dragged into the water!"
After giving Shi Tian a quick reminder, Old Lin urged him back to his fishing spot while occasionally glancing at the store entrance. Sun Lang was taking too long; why was it so complicated to match a rod? Just grab the items and let someone else carry them over; I can help them set it up!
He was an artistic person; there was no need to impress him with knowledge. Instead, share some stories about the sea and how he battled with tuna. Or talk about experiences from the Northwest, like fishing alone at sunset on the Yellow River! Provide some creative inspiration!
Also, that lady is a Buddhist. When fishing later, don’t use live shrimp; come with me to grab some plastic particles instead—use those for bait!
Feeling uneasy, Old Lin reminded Shi Tian once more before Shi Tian dashed back to his fishing spot. His float was indeed sinking; if he didn’t hurry back, he might lose his live shrimp to a fish!
He didn’t expect Old Lin to win over the customer; he just needed him to handle the lady. The older woman was easy to deal with since she was eager to marry off her daughter. However, the literary young woman was not so easily managed; even Old Lin could end up being led by her!
Back at his fishing spot, Shi Tian cast his line and noticed Old Lin pacing anxiously nearby. He opened his fishing box and casually handed Old Lin a handful of black bream bait before continuing to reel in his catch.
Reeling in fish was just slightly heavier than winding up the line; now Shi Tian suspected he had hooked a small prince of cut lines—he felt nothing at all!
As soon as the fish broke the surface, Shi Tian's eyes lit up—it was golden all over! Under the light, it shimmered brilliantly—a large yellow croaker!
These bait particles were a bit watery! It must be because they hadn’t been fed long enough; aside from these particles, nothing else seemed to bite. Still, this large yellow croaker was quite delightful—too bad there were no big spenders around; otherwise, that would have been another thousand dollars in earnings!
The chances of keeping this fish alive were slim. He tossed it into the fish bucket and hoped for its luck. After re-baiting his hook, he cast it back into the same fishing spot, letting it sink a bit deeper before reeling it back to see if he could catch another one.
Glancing back at Old Lin who was fishing with his head tilted backward, Shi Tian smirked and said, "Old Lin, help me pour this fish into the big tank inside the store! Sun Lang needs assistance too; make sure you set up a good fishing set for the customer!"
As soon as Shi Tian finished speaking, Old Lin sprang up as if propelled by springs. He had wanted to sneak a peek inside the store for a while now but felt it would be too abrupt.
"Alright then, I’ll keep an eye on Sun Lang’s rod while he takes care of things inside!" Before he finished speaking, Old Lin had already grabbed Shi Tian's fish bucket and dashed into the store!
Watching Old Lin enter the shop, Shi Tian quickly took out half a pack of black bream bait and ran over to several fishing spots near Old Lin’s area, tossing some bait into the sea before returning to his own spot.
"Who is that woman? Why are you so concerned?" Scallion and Ginger to Remove Fishy Smell asked when Shi Tian finally settled down.
When did Shi Tian activate his matchmaking attributes? First, he was sending wealth notes; now he had upgraded to matchmaking—what would be next? Going on a pilgrimage for scriptures?
This morning at Liudao Bay, I cast my line a few times; that lady had gone there too. Out of curiosity, I chatted with her for a bit longer than intended—originally just wanted to coax her into using live shrimp here but ended up listening to her woes for over an hour!
A homebody worried about marriage—the mother had all sorts of tricks up her sleeve. I'm just making use of resources; why let good fortune go elsewhere? I casually replied to Scallion and Ginger while catching sight of Sun Lang rushing over quickly.
As soon as Rod was mentioned, the atmosphere felt empty. Sun Lang turned to Shi Tian with a confused expression, wondering where Hei Piao had gone. What happened to Rod being dragged into the sea?
"Give the young man a chance; he's still single!" Shi Tian casually replied to Sun Lang. At that moment, his Float bobbed slightly. Was something about to bite? Shi Tian's attention immediately returned to his own Float.
Hearing Shi Tian's words, Sun Lang glanced back at the shop, quickly switched out for a Live Shrimp, tossed it in, lit a cigarette, and settled down on the Fishing Box, leisurely fishing.
Shi Tian's Float dipped sharply; he lifted the rod. The fish wasn't big, but it seemed to be another Large Yellow Croaker! He quickly reeled in, the Wheel spinning rapidly. With a flick of the rod, the fish flew up—only for Shi Tian's face to fall when he realized it was a Stonefish this time, albeit one that was rather petite!
The Money Grouper, scientifically known as the Hawksbill Grouper, was indeed a good catch, just a bit on the mini side! He tossed it back into the sea with a sigh; that was one less Live Shrimp, and his chances of catching a big fish today seemed rather slim.
He hooked on another Live Shrimp and cast it out into the sea, hoping this last shrimp would yield something worthwhile!
A few moments later, Old Lin returned with a young lady to his Fishing Spot, earnestly teaching her how to cast her line. Meanwhile, an older woman approached Shi Tian's Fishing Spot carrying a bag. Pretending to be a stranger, she didn’t greet anyone as she walked down the steps and dumped a bag of Live Shrimp into the sea while muttering praises to the heavens.
