Using jigs or live shrimp while fishing at sea is common. On the boat, it’s not just about lures or Taiwanese fishing techniques; we have all sorts of tricks up our sleeves.
But when Wang Ergou spoke those words, they were labeled. If Da Gui Wang dared to suggest using a jig, he’d be guaranteed to see no seafood or Wang Ergou for the next few days on the boat!
However, if he mentioned using live shrimp, that would create another issue. Wang Ergou would definitely make a big deal out of it once they were ashore, spreading rumors that he had betrayed the Da Gui faction.

He shoved the rod into Da Gui Wang’s hands while getting busy with his own rod. Wang Ergou took care of packing up the lobster’s gear and tossed it into the cabin; any plans for jigs could wait until they were back on land!
As long as Da Gui Wang experienced the thrill of catching fish with live bait, they would be halfway there. Once ashore, Shi Tian would help set things up for two days of fun while subtly sowing discord between Da Gui Wang and Da Gui Pai so that he wouldn’t even think about going back!

The speed at which he was baiting up made Wang Ergou incredibly pleased; he was practically a born Taiwanese Fishing champion!
Once the boat was anchored, and Oka came out with his rod, several people had already started pulling in fish like crazy. Four fish per rod was just standard practice; catching five or six wasn't unusual either. When the Yellow Chicken School showed up, it was like grabbing a Red Envelope—just close your eyes and reel them in!
"Hey, save me a spot! I've got two rods!" Oka shouted. He didn't even have time to set up his stand; he tossed one rod aside and squeezed in next to Shi Tian with the other. He plugged in the Power Supply, switched out the Hook, and got to work!
To catch Huang Ji, you only need to let out about ten meters of line; the Yellow Chicken Fish swim at that depth. If you go deeper, you won't catch anything! Using Antarctic Shrimp as bait, you just drop it down and wait—each fish weighs about one or two pounds, and a school can keep you fishing for half an hour or even an hour if you're lucky.
After a few casts, worried that the Bait Cage wouldn't keep up, Shi Tian grabbed a handful of Xiao Xia Mi and scattered it over the side of the boat. In an instant, the bites became even more aggressive—six fish on one rod!
With Shi Tian as an example, everyone else followed suit. After catching a few fish, they all threw in some Xiao Xia Mi; this time they were determined to get their fill!
