Holding up his phone, Shi Tianyi walked down the stone path, occasionally chatting with Shi Chui and Yun Wan'er.
Upon returning to the villa area, he took a detour to the Artificial Lake. He tossed a handful of Carp Bait into the water, and a swarm of koi swam over. Yun Wan'er loved this scene, though it was a pity that it was getting dark, which diminished the effect a bit.
After feeding the fish, they headed home. In front of Shi Chui, Shi Tianyi opened his Golden Silk Nanmu Rod Case and put back two rods. Shi Chui couldn't sit still!
"Are all of these Customized Rods?"
Yun Wan'er wanted to see Shi Tianyi's dog house but was startled by Shi Chui's sudden exclamation and playfully punched him.
"Yes! This is a set of Customized Rods—one is ten meters long at One Meter Eight, and the other is an Iso Rod! Even the case is made of Golden Silk Nanmu. Isn't it beautiful?" Shi Tianyi said with a grin as he showcased the Rod Case.
"Just one glance is enough; looking too much makes it lose its charm!"
After a quick scan, Shi Tianyi closed the Rod Case and pulled out the Luxury Gold curtain he had bought that day. He closed the trunk and said to Yun Wan'er, "Mother, let me take you upstairs to see the bedroom I prepared for you and Father!"
He had a bit of obsessive-compulsive disorder himself, but Yun Wan'er’s was much stronger. To entice her to Sanya, he had spent over seventy dollars on this Luxury Gold curtain!
Rushing up to the second floor, as soon as the elevator opened, Shi Tianyi smiled and introduced, "This is the study. The bookshelf was custom-made from Red Sandalwood. I just don’t know what kind of books you like to read. I’ll search online for the bestsellers and fill up the shelf before you arrive!"
"The study hasn’t been decorated with plants yet; I’ll go to the Flower Bird Market soon to buy some peonies to place here. That way, you can enjoy the fragrance while reading and have a leisurely afternoon!"
Before he could finish his sentence, Yun Wan'er was already sweating!
"Can peonies even grow in Sanya? What a joke! Besides, I don’t even like peonies; they’re so gaudy!"
"No! You don’t need to! I’ll buy my own books, and you don’t have to worry about plants either; I’ll plant them myself! I’ll just order some books online and have them sent over!"
"Is it really necessary to fill up the entire bookshelf? Three or five books are enough for a couple of months!"
Yun Wan'er’s reaction didn’t surprise Shi Tianyi; this was how it should be!
"Then let’s take a look at the tea room! It was designed with a Red Sandalwood tea table. Unfortunately, I don’t drink tea myself, so I haven’t prepared any tea sets! I’ll buy a Tea Bar Machine online later to make things more convenient!"
"The water in the tea room comes from a mountain spring; it makes for fragrant tea—I’ve tried it! In this space next to it, I want to buy an ancient zither for you so that when you have free time, you can enjoy tea while playing music!"
As he spoke about this area, Shi Tianyi’s eyes lit up. "Oh right! A few days ago, I bought a guitar. I'll bring it down later and place it here for some flair!"
Shi Tianyi always had a way of unintentionally touching Yun Wan'er’s nerves!
Though it was simple in design, its overall style had a bit of a vintage feel. Shi Tianyi knew that Yun Wan'er liked this style; however, placing a Tea Bar Machine alongside a guitar in such an environment would make her want to grab her sword!
"I appreciate your thoughtfulness! But please don’t bother; just keep your guitar in your dog house! As for that Tea Bar Machine—keep it as far away from me as possible! If I go to Sanya and see one in the tea room, I swear I'll smash it!"
With gritted teeth, Yun Wan'er felt utterly exasperated!
How could someone with such high standards end up with something like this? She felt the need to do a paternity test with Shi Tian to see if this child had been swapped at the hospital!
Hearing Yun Wan'er’s threat, Shi Tian shrank his head back and chuckled nervously, thinking he should keep up the good work!
After finishing in the tea room, she turned to the master bedroom. Taking in the whole view, Yun Wan'er was quite satisfied. However, when Shi Tian threw the box of curtains onto the floor, Yun Wan'er immediately lost her temper!
Before Shi Tian could say anything, Yun Wan'er threatened him, "Don’t open it! Shut up! Don’t say a word! I can feel your filial piety! Just leave everything as it is! If anything is missing, I’ll take care of it later! Don’t worry about it! If not, I’ll just book a hotel in Sanya!"
After hanging up on Shi Chui's video call, Shi Tian felt completely relaxed!
Did he really think they could stay in Xitang for a few days? Or go to Qiandao Lake? That was wishful thinking! It would be a miracle if he could sleep tonight!
Shi Tian was right; Yun Wan'er couldn’t sleep. Listening to Shi Chui's carefree snoring, she raised her hand and playfully punched him awake.
"What’s wrong with you? Why are you acting weird in the middle of the night?" Shi Chui opened his eyes and looked at Yun Wan'er helplessly.
Earlier, Xiao Tian hadn’t taken those curtains. Did he think he would put them up tonight? A perfectly good bedroom with those ridiculous Shih Huang curtains—could they even stay there? Rubbing her temples, Yun Wan'er closed her eyes and imagined that box of curtains in her bedroom!
Just as Shi Chui was about to comfort Yun Wan'er, he suddenly brightened up and said, "There’s actually a possibility of that. To make sure we come home for the New Year, he renovated the house not long ago. Clearly, he cares about it!"
As soon as Shi Chui said that, Yun Wan'er couldn't sleep at all! It felt like a label had been left behind that she couldn’t wipe away no matter how hard she tried! This was something she absolutely could not accept!
