The fish was quite large, and the force made Shi Tianyi think it was a Niu Gang Mackerel. While using a Hand Rod had its advantages for playing with fish, rods like Iso Rods, Lures, and Sea Fishing Rods with reels lost their edge when it came to larger catches; shorter rods were generally easier to handle.
Despite the lack of advantage in playing with fish, the filming results were visually pleasing. After nearly ten minutes of struggle, Sun Lang finally managed to scoop up the fish with a Ping Net!
It was a Golden Pomfret weighing around ten pounds, which was considered quite large among Golden Pomfrets! A fish this size barely fit in the Fish Bucket. After unhooking it, Shi Tian ran into the shop holding the fish and flipped it into the large tank.
After washing his face upstairs, he returned to the Fishing Spot to continue battling! One fish wasn’t enough to satisfy his appetite; with Kang Ziyu present, he needed to show off his skills!
He switched to Live Shrimp and cast his line into the water. The six of them stood on the Fishing Platform at ten different Fishing Spots, uniformly holding their rods as they stirred up the sea.
They had baited dozens of pounds of Bai Tiao; although all were dead Bai Tiao, it still proved effective! Shi Tian started off strong, followed by Xu Yuanxiang who caught a Black Sea Bream weighing over a pound. Next up was Liu Ju.
Noticing Liu Ju's line speed and how much his rod was bending, Shi Tian silently mourned for him. There was no doubt that it was another Niu Gang Mackerel; it probably wasn’t smaller than the one that had dragged Old Zhang into trouble!
Liu Ju was struggling with his big catch while they continued to drift along. Judging by Liu Ju's efforts, it seemed unlikely he would bring this fish in within half an hour; they couldn’t just wait around for that long!
Liu Ju’s big fish attracted attention from passing vehicles. A Bro who had just exited the shop with half a pound of Live Shrimp noticed what was happening here right away.
Without saying a word, he shouldered his rod and grabbed his Fishing Box as he ran over. His Fishing Box wasn’t even full yet; he attached Live Shrimp to his rod and glanced at Shi Tian and the others who were drifting nearby. With a flick of his line cup, he joined their ranks!
In less than ten minutes, he caught a Black Sea Bream weighing over a pound, boosting his confidence. He glanced at the six nearby before switching back to Live Shrimp and continuing; this time he drifted for over ten minutes again.
Suddenly his rod dipped again; he felt another bite and immediately pulled up! The line screamed as it released tension!
Watching how fast line came out, Shi Tian couldn’t help but lick his lips. What on earth was happening? Had they stumbled upon a swarm of Niu Gang Mackerels? And sure enough, another Niu Gang Mackerel surfaced!
Liu Ju’s Yu Jing came up next—a Niu Gang weighing over ten pounds. The fish might not be worth much money, but it felt great on the line! Trading one Xiao Xia Mi for such a large Niu Gang that played along for so long was an incredible deal!
Zhao Zong and Xu Yuanxiang rushed over to help Ling Fish while Liu Ju wiped sweat from his brow! Listening to Zhao Zong and Xu Yuanxiang’s praises made Liu Ju feel quite pleased!
He glanced at the Bro beside him, who was trying to catch fish, and suddenly heard a loud crack—the rod had snapped!
Oh no! The triple hook from Liu Ju and his crew had caused this Bro to curse under his breath in frustration.
Fortunately, the fish hadn’t escaped; it was still on the line. As long as Wheel was there, there was still hope for this fish!
With the rod broken, Shi Tian and the others paused their activities, all eyes fixed on the Bro's movements.
It was a Niu Gang Mackerel, and a sizable one at that. With the rod broken, reeling it in would be no easy task!
Needless to say, along with Kang Ziyu, all seven of them knew what they were hoping for. Without saying a word, they put away their rods, and Kang Ziyu quietly raised his phone, aiming the camera at the Bro’s rod.
Without the tip of the rod, this Bro became much more cautious, loosening the drag several notches; the line spool was nearly empty.
With the line spool cleared, there was no doubt that the fish would escape. However, with the drag tightened and no elasticity from the rod tip, reeling in this fish seemed increasingly unlikely!
After weighing his options multiple times, this Bro reluctantly tightened the drag a couple of notches and began to slowly reel in.
More than ten minutes passed; he was almost done reeling in, and the big fish was just by the shore—only a few meters away from success—when enthusiastic Sun Lang ran over with a landing net.
Crack! With a faint sound of line snapping, the fish slipped back into the sea, causing this Bro to stumble back!
Oh no! That was a seven-fold hook!
He slapped his thigh hard in frustration and turned to glare at the others, his eyes blazing with anger like thunder and lightning!
His gaze landed on Sun Lang, who wore an amused expression mixed with disdain in his eyes.
This guy wasn’t someone to mess with; he was trouble!
Next, he glanced at Old Zhang in the distance—dark-skinned and clearly built for hard labor—definitely someone not to provoke!
Then he looked at Shi Tian—a young man towering at about One Meter Eight—also not someone to take lightly!
