Several elderly gentlemen are the elders of the family and also mentors, and during this time, Sun Shixiong has been quite busy! After getting to know each other, Shi Tian introduced these old gentlemen to Sun Quanshun and then pulled him aside to whisper, "These old guys are not easy to deal with. You must keep an eye on your master; don’t let these old men lead you astray!"
Shi Tian's words left Sun Quanshun confused. Aren't these old men your family elders? What kind of evaluation is that? You must be quite filial! After a moment of internal grumbling, Sun Quanshun smiled and said, "Don't worry! Leave it to me; I guarantee everything will be perfectly arranged!"
Seeing Sun Quanshun's confident demeanor, Shi Tian couldn't help but feel a bit sympathetic for him. Perfectly arranged? That only works if they follow your arrangements!
"Hey, junior brother! I don't know much about fishing. Can I ask you how to ensure that my master and the old gentlemen have a great time? Should I prepare some fishing gear for them and take them to a beautiful place to enjoy themselves for a few days?"
Shi Tian runs a fishing tackle shop, so he definitely knows about fishing. Yi Laotou is much more easygoing with Shi Tian than with the other senior brothers, indicating a good rapport between them.
Seeing Sun Quanshun seeking advice, Shi Tian thought for a moment and said, "Fishermen never lack fishing gear; they only lack fish. For them, no amount of fish is too much—the bigger, the better! The rarer, the better! As long as there are fish, they wouldn’t complain even if they had to walk two hours through muddy fields!"
Sun Quanshun hadn’t eaten breakfast yet, so Shi Tian went to Luo Yongshan to get some dumplings.
Upon returning with the dumplings, he distributed them—one portion per person—while making sure to fill Sun Quanshun's stomach first. The trip to Beihai isn’t short; it’s three public transport stops away. After crossing the sea from Xu Wen to Beihai is still three stops! By the time they take the ferry, it’s likely that the old gentlemen won’t reach Beihai before dark.
As they ate dumplings, Shi Tian was busy loading local specialties into Sun Quanshun's trunk—a set of kitchen knives among many other items.
"Xiao Tian, are you sending more kitchen knives again? At this rate, your little shop will go bankrupt from all this giving!" Yi Laotou remarked after glancing at the busy Shi Tian.
The kitchen knives from Shi Tian are indeed practical; both their feel and sharpness are impeccable. One can imagine those knives aren’t cheap.
Last time he sent a set of scallion and ginger for removing fishy smells; now looking at Sun Quanshun's trunk, it seems like another set!
"Junior brother, I have enough kitchen knives; I don’t need this many! I’m still using the ones my master gave me!" Hearing this, Sun Quanshun quickly put his chopsticks down to stop him.
"Can a restaurant ever have too many kitchen knives?" Shi Tian insisted on stuffing several boxes of knives into his trunk. He didn’t mind; how much could a few boxes of knives be worth? He could always settle up later!
"Do you think I only have these two disciples? You underestimate me!" The old man shook his head slightly. "Take them! Xiao Tian’s kitchen knives are not something you can find in stores; they’re quite useful. He even made me a special set!"
With that said by Yi Laotou, Sun Quanshun stopped arguing and helped Shi Tian carry the kitchen knives. However, with all those knives crammed into the business vehicle, would there still be room for anyone else?
"Sending a few kitchen knives won’t make me go broke! They’re just my own products; they’re not valuable items—take them and use them freely!" Shi Tian said generously before turning his attention back to the water tank where a Money Grouper was swimming.
"I want to catch some fish," Shi Tian said, but Sun Quanshun quickly stepped forward to stop him. "You don’t need that; I already prepared some yesterday and even got a Mouse Grouper!"
Sun Quanshun wasn’t uninterested in that fish; it was just that he really couldn’t take it with him!
After more than ten hours of driving, if he stuffed that fish into the car, where would those old gentlemen sit? Surely they couldn’t be placed on the roof!
Moreover, with a large water tank in the car, how could it possibly drive? One step on the gas and a brake, and it would surely become a waterlogged vehicle!
This was early in the morning when a few old men were fishing, just as you parked your car and they had just caught one. The master said that fishing is more enjoyable when you do it yourself, and indeed, you have none over there!
This remark from Shi Tian made the old men roll their eyes! That fish was certainly a good catch, but unfortunately, it couldn't be taken back. Even if it was placed in an oxygenated fish bucket, cramming such a fish in there would surely lead to its demise; by the time it reached Beihai, it would be lucky if it didn't stink!
Forget about that fish; it's better to leave it here for you to nourish your body! Stopping Shi Tianyi, Yi Laotou pulled out two books and tossed them to Shi Tian, saying, "You should read more books when you have time; don’t just run off to fish every day! I took your Iso Rod; make me a new one when you get the chance, and I’ll return this one to you!"
Sun Quanshun thought that was the end of it, but what happened next left him utterly dumbfounded. Four fishing boxes, four rod cases, plus a rod bag and a fishing chair with a sun umbrella—these old men stuffed their gear into the car, turning his seven-seater business vehicle into a cargo truck!
As the two business vehicles started up, Sun Quanshun rode with Yi Laotou while the others took the other car. This time they were going on a long trip, and Wen Qianqian felt somewhat overwhelmed. Old Liu was driving personally; he said they would take turns driving, but Old Liu had no intention of doing so at all.
Watching the two business vehicles disappear down the street, Shi Tian felt his eyes moisten. Finally, he had sent these old men off!
