"What danger could there be? We learned to swim before you even showed up! We're just going to play in this lake; what could possibly go wrong? Enough talk, hurry up and assemble the boat so we can take a spin on the lake!"
Typically, it was Old Kong who would sing this tune, and Shi Tian had no way to deal with him. Not to mention him, even the Air Force couldn't manage him, so he certainly wouldn't stand a chance!
If they wanted to play on the lake, that was fine, but they had to wear life jackets while in the water. There was no room for negotiation on that point; if they didn't agree, they might as well part ways!
The old man had already searched through their things, so it was impossible not to take them out on the lake. With the personalities of these old men, if they weren't taken for a couple of rounds, Old Kong would likely jump into the lake and swim over himself!
Shi Tian arranged for two girls to go inside and find life jackets while the old men watched him assemble the raft. After inflating it, putting it in the water, and securing the motor, Shi Tian finally managed to get the raft ready.
"Old man, this raft can only carry four people. If we bring fishing gear along, it can hold at most three people. So you'll have to split into two groups!" After assembling the raft, Shi Tian looked at the old men who were already wearing their life jackets.
"What about this? Isn’t it supposed to be installed? How can we know where the fish are without it?" Seeing that Shi Tian had no intention of installing the fish finder, Old Kong quickly asked.
Great, these old men sure have a lot of demands!
The raft was already assembled; it wouldn't hurt to install the fish finder!
After everything was set up, Shi Tian took Old Kong and Old Liu along with a pile of fishing gear directly to the fishing spot they had chosen last night!
"Old man, have you eaten yet? If not, should I wait until you finish lunch before taking you over this afternoon? It's so hot today; you won't be able to fish for long before needing to head back down for a meal!"
Once they reached the lake, Shi Tian suddenly remembered that it was almost noon and guessed that these old men hadn't eaten yet!

Whether or not it was eased off didn't matter much; pushing the throttle all the way down wouldn't make it go much faster than rowing. Even if he eased off on it now, it wouldn't slow down immediately and would still drift quite far.
Once they delivered the fishing gear ashore, Old Kong showed no intention of getting off the boat.
Liu Laoyezi got off and began tidying up the fishing gear piece by piece while Old Kong insisted that Shi Tian fiddle with the fish finder from aboard.
"This mode is what Jun Ge and his group use—it's more professional. Let's switch to something simpler!" Looking at all those lines on the fish finder screen made Shi Tian feel overwhelmed.
What normal person uses this kind of mode? It may be precise but if you're not used to it, it's hard to tell whether what’s displayed on screen is a fish or just a bunch of tangled lines!
Professional? Well then! Let’s see how professional it is; who wants to play amateur when we can do professional? Hearing "professional" piqued Old Kong's interest—who would want to play amateur when everyone else could understand?
Old Kong wanted to complain but Shi Tian wouldn’t let this opportunity slip by. Without spending at least a day or two learning how to use this interface adjusted by Air Force, one really wouldn’t understand it!
The left side of this display shows real-time underwater conditions while this large section of screen resembles a timeline—you can think of it as dragging from left to right!
The thicker the line, the bigger the fish. The length of the line indicates the duration a fish remains within the detection range; the longer the line, the longer the stay! With enough time, one can determine the species of fish below based on the trajectory of this line.
Aren't you here to play professionally? Then let’s see how you handle this! Instead of utilizing a clear two-dimensional interface that shows where the fish are, you insist on dealing with this one-dimensional line—aren't you just making things difficult for yourself?
In less than five minutes of explanation, the old man was already feeling overwhelmed! But there was no way he would back down in front of Shi Tian. He had plenty of ways to deal with Shi Tian; if he didn’t understand, he could just ask. It didn’t matter if he felt a headache; first, he would make Shi Tian feel one too!
After about twenty minutes of back and forth, Shi Tian was pushed to the brink of frustration by the old man. With a quick switch to two-dimensional mode, clear and straightforward—now you should be quiet!
Shi Tian thought otherwise; two-dimensional mode was too simple. The old man thrived on sophistication. Even after switching to two-dimensional mode, he continued to ask about those lines, leaving Shi Tian completely exasperated!
As they docked, Shi Tian dragged the raft ashore. To outsmart Old Kong, he decided to deflate the raft and took an air pump with him as he accompanied several old men down the hill.
“What are you doing with that? Can’t you leave it here?” Old Kong asked, his eyelids twitching as he saw Shi Tian carrying the pump.
“I’m worried you might go out on the lake without safety measures; it’s better to bring the pump along!”
“Come on, let’s hurt each other! You torment me, I’ll torment you—let’s see who suffers more!”
Rolling his eyes at Shi Tian, Old Kong patted his shoulder and said, “This thing is sold everywhere in City; we can drive half an hour and buy one. Are we really going to let a little air pump stop us from going out on the lake?”
Hearing this, Shi Tian was taken aback. By the time he snapped back to reality, the air pump was already in Old Liu's hands, while Old Kong and Yi Laotou were ushering him out of the house!
Once they reached the villa, Yi Laotou took over in the kitchen while Shi Tian was dragged by Old Kong to have some tea.
“I’ll tell you something: isn’t it a bit quiet here? In a few days, someone will come over to be your neighbor! You’ll have to take good care of them!” After finishing his cup of tea, Old Kong said mysteriously.
