As they ascended the steps, surrounded by lush greenery, there was a sense of tranquility that felt almost like a hidden path leading to serenity. Shi Tian led the way, followed closely by three elderly men, while two girls brought up the rear, always on guard to prevent any mischief from the old men.
The old man mentioned that there were fish in Yuehu, and they were quite substantial. However, the fish there were all released into the lake by Ye Ge, Jun Ge, and Lu Ge after being caught elsewhere, and they had naturally reproduced without any artificial feeding.
The mountain environment was quiet, with little human activity, and the fish in the lake were cautious, darting into deeper waters at the slightest disturbance. So when you go fishing, be sure not to make too much noise; it's best not to stir up the area too much. Otherwise, if you scare them away, don't blame me!
As Shi Tian guided them toward Yuehu, he reminded the elderly men to be mindful. He hoped they would have a bountiful catch in Yuehu; that way, he wouldn't have to worry about them causing trouble. With such a lake, he could keep them occupied and prevent them from thinking of ways to create mischief!
"Yes! Good! Right!" The elderly men agreed enthusiastically. As long as Shi Tian took them to Yuehu, whatever he said was right. Before they reached the lake, everything seemed fine. But once they saw it, they would surely rush ahead!
This was Shi Tian's second visit to Yuehu. Compared to his first experience, the path was undoubtedly much easier now. A pavilion had been built by the lakeside, and next to the small pier stood a little house that included four storage rooms along with a kitchen and dining area—all equipped with water and electricity.
Upon seeing the lake, the elderly men's pace noticeably quickened. They brushed Shi Tian aside and rushed toward the water with their fishing gear in hand!
What ungratefulness! Shi Tian thought to himself as he shook his head in resignation. By the time they reached the lakeside, the old men had already chosen their fishing spots!
These fishing spots were far more luxurious than those across from his shop. The artificial grass fishing platforms were only a few meters above the water's surface and had been treated for slip resistance. There were steps on both sides for easy access to the water and posts for tying up boats—everything designed with fishing in mind.
Surrounding them were lights and power supply outlets; they even had fixed fish-attracting lights installed—just short of adding outdoor air conditioning!
Standing at the edge of the fishing platform, Shi Tian could see several similar platforms lining the lake. Especially notable was the area where they had fished for big fish last time; it was closer to Yuehu's inlet and larger in scale.
Unfortunately, there were no roads along the lake; if one wanted to reach other fishing spots from here, they would either have to row a boat or swim across!
The elderly men were quite ambitious; they started with eight-meter-long giant fish rods. But would there even be any bites in this hot weather?
"Old man, lend me a three-point-six-meter rod; I'll cast a couple of lines too!" Shi Tian cautiously suggested as he approached Old Kong.
In such a great environment, it felt wrong not to cast a couple of lines for those hungry little fish!
Although Shi Tian had made several customized rods already, he had never personally used one for fishing. He only knew that they felt good in hand; beyond that, he was still clueless about their specifics.
"Shh! You'll scare all the fish away!" Old Kong shot him an annoyed glance before speaking up.
A three-point-six-meter rod? He hadn't even used one himself yet; how could he possibly lend it out?
With no other choice, Shi Tian turned to Old Liu. Among the three old men, Old Liu seemed like the most straightforward one; asking him should be fine!
After borrowing a rod and digging up some worms, he made his way to one side of the fishing platform. He placed his feet in the water and prepared to catch some little white strips hiding among the aquatic plants along the shore. Meanwhile, the two girls tasked with watching over the old men had already run off to admire the beautiful lake scenery from the pavilion!
The previous night had been well arranged by Dà Hǎi; after finishing barbecue and beer, Dà Hǎi even spent lavishly to treat Calmly to a foot wash. After such treatment, even a simple wheel seemed somewhat extravagant!
Yesterday, I had something to do and couldn't help Da Hai buy a Wheel. Now that it's Friday, it's time to repay that favor!
Is Boss Shi not here today? After work in the afternoon, I rushed to the Fishing Tackle Shop. At this moment, Sun Lang and Su Xueyi were already there, up to some mischief behind the counter.

With two rods in hand, Sun Lang placed the Wheel and two spools of line on the counter before turning to help Calmly pick out some Jigs.
Anyone who can specifically request an ultra-soft rod doesn't need to worry about rigging up reels and lines; even if he wanted to help, they might not trust him with it.
Two rods and two Wheels cost twenty-four hundred; the line and Jigs are complimentary. "Scan over there!" Sun Lang said as he placed two boxes of Jigs in front of Calmly, who was busy rigging lines.
With such a generous offer from your shop, aren't you worried about going out of business? He joked lightly as Calmly put down the Rod from Xia Shou and pulled out his phone to pay, then turned back to continue assembling that micro rod.
This isn't something we should worry about; we just need to follow the boss's instructions diligently—buy rods, give away hooks and lines—not only providing good service but also making customers feel like they're getting real value!
Watching Calmly busy at work, Sun Lang wanted to try his hand at that hard rod but was stopped by Calmly. So he settled down to continue chatting with Su Xueyi.
The service in the shop is quite good; while Sun Lang was helping Calmly choose a Rod, Su Xueyi quietly fetched a bottle of chilled mineral water and handed it to Calmly. Although it wasn't her working hours, she was still proactive in doing small things for the shop whenever she could.
In recent days, quite a few people have come in to buy Rods. Last week's Bait Contest introduced many to the performance of Xingpai Fishing Gear. Those who had previously bought Rods or received them as prizes would often come back to replenish their Rod Bags, frequently buying one or two at a time.
After seeing off Calmly, Sun Lang took out his phone and called Shi Tian.
"Boss, did you catch the thief? You have to call me next time there's a fight or a theft; I'm all in for that! Do you want me to come over? Just send me the address!"
He then joined Su Xueyi and found out from Old Zhang across the street that Shi Tian had been robbed!
Robbed? A thief broke into his home? It's such a pity I missed out on this excitement!
