Wen Qianqian was a couple of years younger than Air Force, having been spoiled since childhood. Her greatest support at home was Old Wen, whose status in the family was only second to that of Old Wen himself.
Wen Qianqian inherited Old Wen's fishing skills. After being caught a few times by him, she became familiar with the Fishing Spot. While Old Wen took on the role of logistics, Wen Qianqian transformed into a Fishing Master, and thus she fell into the hobby.
Once she got hooked, Old Wen no longer dared to catch her for practice! How could he bear to watch a Fisherman stand aside while others fished, occasionally having to serve tea and water?
When Old Wen invited her to go fishing, Wen Qianqian was somewhat surprised. After all, it had been nearly two years since he last asked her to join him! However, upon hearing about the forty-plus-pound Giant Blue, she jumped out of bed excitedly.
"Great! I’ll pick you up early in the morning. How about we leave around four? We can catch the Zao Kou!"
Fishing with a few old men didn’t seem appealing at first, but with the prospect of catching a Giant Blue, it became interesting! She planned to familiarize herself with the Fishing Spot today and then ditch the old men the day after. She would contact her friends to occupy the spot at midnight, leaving the old men with no way to fish!
Upon hearing Wen Qianqian agree, Old Wen smiled slightly. "Alright, four o'clock it is. I’ll arrange to meet Old Kong and Old Liu shortly. They should wait downstairs at four!"
However, there was still a secret mission for you to complete! Your Kong Grandpa has a Rod with a beautiful design, but that Rod is his treasure!
"Bring your camera and secretly take a picture of that Rod. Make sure to capture the Trademark clearly; I’ll contact the manufacturer later to custom order one!"
Old Kong had become wary of him, making this task difficult for him. But for Wen Qianqian, it was no problem at all; young people were adept with digital products—taking a photo wouldn’t be hard!
"Grandpa, that lens for covert shots costs several thousand!" Upon hearing this from Old Wen, Wen Qianqian finally shot him an incredulous look.
So Old Wen wasn’t just taking her fishing; he was also eyeing someone else's Rod! This kind of opportunistic task wasn’t impossible to take on; they just needed to negotiate the price first!
"As long as you get the photo right, we can discuss the lens later! Choose what you like; I’ll have your dad pay for it! As long as we can get that Rod’s origin sorted out, everything else is easy for Old Wen—he won’t even need to spend his own money!"
After discussing for quite some time and with Old Wen promising many benefits, they finally set their plan in motion.
The next morning, Old Wen proudly took on his role as logistics manager. Since it wasn’t bright yet and capturing a clear image of the Rod would be impossible—even with flash—Wen Qianqian rightfully occupied Old Wen’s position.
They fished until dawn broke bright and clear. It was only when Old Liu caught a fish that Wen Qianqian reluctantly put down her Rod!
"Grandpa Liu, that fish looks quite big! Take your time reeling it in; I’ll snap a few photos for you and send them to your phone later!"
She pulled out her phone and took several pictures around Old Liu. Only then did Old Wen reclaim his Fishing Spot!
The old men were sharper than monkeys; they wouldn’t just take photos of Old Kong without some preparation!
As Old Liu reeled in his catch, Wen Qianqian turned to face Old Kong: "Kong Grandpa, your fishing luck doesn’t seem great today! I heard from Grandpa that you caught a forty-plus-pound Giant Blue yesterday? You should be in luck today!"
As soon as her words fell, Old Kong suddenly jerked his rod up—he had hooked a fish!
It didn’t seem very big; probably just around a pound or so. For such a large fish, Old Kong could easily reel it in.
"Kong Grandpa, don’t rush to pull it up! Strike a pose; let me take a picture of you!"
After taking a few photos with Old Kong, Wen Qianqian smiled as she put her phone away. She turned around and pulled Old Wen off the Fishing Spot. With the task completed, she could finally enjoy a day of fishing!
Old Wen had made quite a sacrifice for that photo. Not counting the promises made last night, when Wen Qianqian took them back, she had inadvertently swiped his Rod Bag as well!
"Qianqian, don’t you have your own Rod? Why are you taking mine? Hurry up and return it! I still need it!" Watching Wen Qianqian hop into the car with his Rod Bag, Old Wen quickly pulled out his phone to call Xiao Mian Ao.
"Your Rod is really great!" Hearing the voice on the other end, Old Wen found himself at a loss for words.
"That was given to me by Kong Grandpa! What do you think you’re doing taking it?"
"Then let Kong Grandpa buy you another set! I can just have my dad pay for it!"
Listening to his granddaughter’s stubbornness, Old Wen felt a bit frustrated.
"Alright, I’ll have Kong Grandpa buy you another set, but you need to return my Rod first!" With his granddaughter growing bolder, Old Wen couldn’t hold his ground anymore; he just wanted to get his Rod back first!
"Sure! You say it! Have Kong Grandpa buy me another set!" After saying that, Wen Qianqian chuckled, "Then I’ll use yours first! Once Kong Grandpa buys the new Rod, I’ll return yours!"
Old Wen remained silent. Seeing that he wouldn’t say anything more, Wen Qianqian changed the subject. "I’ll handle the photos today and send you the Rod information by tonight at the latest. Remember to customize a set for me too; we agreed on that last night!"
Hearing this made Old Wen feel a bit better.
"What’s going on here? For a set of Rods, I’ve worked like a mule all day and ended up losing one!" After hanging up the phone and shaking his head in disbelief, Old Wen headed home with his gear. It was only when he got into the elevator that he realized his Yu Hu and today’s Fish Catch had also been swiped by Wen Qianqian!
After a long day of work, Shi Tian finally wrapped up the Bait Contest. Upon returning home, the first thing he did was kick someone out.
Despite emphasizing the issue of littering for two days, some people still ignored it. After yesterday's competition ended, he had spent nearly half an hour cleaning up. Today, after the contest ended, he again gathered people to clean for another half hour.
Littering is a matter of personal quality, which Shi Tian had no authority over. While he couldn’t control others’ behavior, he certainly could manage his own group however he liked! Since there hadn’t been any preparations yesterday, today he had gathered evidence; using screenshots from the video recordings to identify and remove people from the group while also sharing the evidence within it.
The Bait Contest would definitely continue to be held in the future. If after each big event people left behind a mess, they would be met with disdain.
If this continued for several contests, their group’s reputation would be tarnished. How could they survive in Sanya then? Wherever they held competitions next, they would surely be chased away by locals with sticks—that would be quite troublesome!
After finishing up with group matters, it was time to enjoy the fruits of their labor from these two days! After participating in several competitions and gathering points from various sources, his Fishing Box points had finally broken into six figures.
Opening the Fishing Box menu again, this time several new items finally popped up.
