Hearing that Shi Ye was going to send him back, Shi Tian quickly put on a smile and said, "How could that be! It’s been months since we last met; how can we not joke around? Don’t worry, money is not an issue. We wouldn’t let a plane ticket ruin over twenty years of friendship!"
Right now, Shi Tian didn’t have much money in hand, and he couldn’t afford to let go of Shi Ye’s generosity. If Shi Ye really sent him back with just a plane ticket, he would definitely struggle in the days to come.
"Ye Ge, let’s not talk about that for now. Let’s find a place to eat! I’m starving; I haven’t even had lunch yet! The world is vast, but my stomach is the biggest concern."
"Not eaten? Which Aviation driver did you buy a ticket from? Don’t tell me you didn’t even get an Airplane Meal?" Shi Ye looked at Shi Tian in disbelief.
There was no rush about eating; at this hour, there weren’t many cars on the road. It would take at most forty to fifty minutes to get back, and once they returned, there would be food.
"I did have an Airplane Meal, but I ran into an old man on the plane. He insisted on taking me as his apprentice because he saw my unique talent. I ended up learning Feng Shui from him all the way on the flight, and it delayed my Airplane Meal!"
After Yun Wan'er helped him buy clothes, he took a taxi to the High-Speed Rail station. Once he got off the High-Speed Rail, he hurried to catch his flight. He had planned to grab a bite on the plane but was directly refused his Airplane Meal by the old man.
He was already feeling hungry and had spent nearly an hour looking at the menu; now he felt even hungrier.
Shi Tian didn’t believe a word Shi Ye said and chuckled, "Oh! You can read Feng Shui now? Tomorrow morning, I’ll sponsor you a Ma Zha; you can set up your stall in the park!"
The business vehicle sped up as they gradually left the city. Before long, there were no lights visible along the roadside. If it weren’t for Shi Ye sitting next to him, Shi Tian might have felt like jumping out of the car!
"Ye Ge, where are we? You’re not planning to sell me off, are you? We’re blood relatives; I’m your closest kin!" Looking out at the pitch-black window, Shi Tian couldn’t help but voice his concerns.
With Shi Ye beside him, he didn’t worry about safety. However, Shi Ye’s place was indeed too remote! It was one thing not to have streetlights; there wasn’t even a village nearby—was this really heading into the wilderness?
"Don’t worry! Before selling you off, I’ll make sure you’re well-fed; otherwise, I won’t get a good price!"
Shi Ye’s place was indeed somewhat secluded, far from the bustling city. To buy groceries, one would have to drive five miles out.
After what felt like an eternity in darkness, lights finally appeared ahead. As they entered through a gate that opened up to a villa area with very few residents, it became clear why there were so few lights on—there simply weren’t many houses occupied in this villa community.
This wasn’t hard to understand; most people bought such villas for temporary enjoyment and would stay for a while during vacations. Once their craving was satisfied, they would rent them out to hotels for some income while having someone manage them for free.
Since it wasn’t yet peak tourist season in Sanya, hotel prices in City were quite cheap; no one would pay exorbitant prices to stay here.
The business vehicle finally stopped in front of a villa with its lights on. Shi Tian followed Shi Ye out of the car, not forgetting to bring along his copy of Shandong Cuisine. He had already decided to immerse himself in culinary arts and eventually buy a tricycle to set up a night market stall—first solving his hunger issues before anything else.
While Shi Ye was indeed a source of meals for him, relying on others was never as good as relying on oneself. It was better to work hard and ensure one’s own sustenance.
The Air Force folks were indeed particular about people. After Shi Ye returned home after more than an hour's journey, it was already past midnight, yet several people were still waiting there for him—showing enough respect for Shi Ye.
After everyone was introduced and seated, just as Shi Tian was about to dig into some crabs on the table, someone from the Air Force handed him a can of beer and said, "Since this is our first meeting, we should drink together! Cheers!"
After finishing his words, Air Force picked up a can of beer in front of him and smiled at Shi Tian. Air Force was a friend of Shi Ye and could be considered an elder to Shi Tian. When drinking with Air Force, Shi Tian knew he couldn't let him go first!
He quickly stood up, lifted his beer, and bowed slightly to clink glasses with Air Force. In one go, he downed the beer and took the opportunity to grab some food. His stomach was empty, and it was too late to eat crabs, so he decided to fill up on some dishes instead.
Shi Tian wasn't foolish; despite only four people at the table, there was plenty of alcohol stacked underneath. Drinking on an empty stomach, even if Shi Ye wasn’t participating, he didn’t have confidence in handling both Air Force and Lu Ya.
However, after just a few bites, Lu Ya also grabbed a can and downed it in one go! That afternoon, Shi Ye had gone fishing with Air Force and Lu Ya, but luck had not been on their side; only Shi Ye managed to catch a Shi Ban.
As for that fish, it was probably long gone, devoured by the three of them. The seafood on the table was likely bought from the market.
The welcome feast lasted until three in the morning. Shi Tian was responsible for eating while the other three focused on drinking. Once Shi Tian had his fill, the three of them were also nearly done drinking, so Shi Tian began to toast each one.
After a hearty meal and drinks, the four of them became like brothers and tossed Shi Tian into a guest room. When he finally woke up, it was already noon, and he had been awakened by the heat since the air conditioning was off.
He wandered downstairs but found no one in the villa; Shi Ye and the others had already left. However, there was a takeout menu left on the table.
Ordering breakfast, Shi Tian retreated back into the guest room. He hadn’t used the phone he bought yesterday yet; he needed to hurry and switch his SIM card to the new phone to get rid of that annoying Rogue Software.
Opening the packaging, he used a pin to extract the SIM card and inserted it into his phone. Pressing the power button, he activated the device and was taken aback when that Rogue Software appeared right on the home screen!
Damn! He couldn't help but mutter an exclamation as he rubbed his eyes. Upon closer inspection, that pesky Rogue Software icon was glaringly positioned right in the center of his home screen.
