Park Bucheng twisted his wrist and slammed the shadow down onto the ground. "Ouch!" A cry of pain escaped as the figure rolled a few times, revealing its true identity—it was Li Taizhu from June Group. She rubbed her injured arm, her eyes blazing with fury, wishing she could swallow Park Bucheng whole. "Park Bucheng! How dare you treat me like this!"
Park Bucheng looked down at her with a half-smile, his tone laced with mockery. "Miss Li, why are you out so late, not at home stitching? Have you come to my lair to experience the hardships of life?"
"Cut the nonsense!" Li Taizhu spat out through clenched teeth. "I’m here for revenge! You’ve humiliated my father, and I will make you pay for it!"
"Oh? Your father's humiliation is his own doing; what does it have to do with me?" Park Bucheng raised an eyebrow, a glint of coldness flashing in his eyes. He knew that Li Taizhu's father, Li Bingxian, the chairman of June Group, was effectively under his control now, a mere puppet. Li Taizhu's words were nothing but bluster.
"You..." Li Taizhu's face turned pale with anger, yet she found herself unable to retort.
"Enough. I don't have time to play house with you," Park Bucheng waved his hand impatiently. "Go back and tell your father that if he wants to trouble me again, he should come himself instead of sending a little pawn like you to die for nothing."
With that, he turned to leave. However, Li Taizhu was unwilling to give up so easily; she suddenly leaped up from the ground and struck towards Park Bucheng's back with a powerful palm strike.
Without looking back, Park Bucheng countered with a swift palm of his own, dissipating her attack effortlessly. "You overestimate yourself," he coldly remarked.
Li Taizhu was sent flying once more, crashing heavily onto the ground with blood trickling from the corner of her mouth. She struggled to rise but found herself utterly powerless, forced to watch as Park Bucheng's figure vanished into the night.
Upon returning to Tai Chi Gang's stronghold, Park Bucheng immediately sensed that something was off. The usually bustling stronghold was eerily silent, a tense atmosphere hanging in the air. A sinking feeling gripped his heart as an ominous premonition washed over him.
"What’s going on?" He grabbed a passing gang member by the arm and demanded sharply.
"Brother Cheng! It's bad! The chaebol has colluded with other gangs and launched a surprise attack on us!" The young man shouted in panic, his face ashen.
Park Bucheng's expression changed as he rushed toward the conference room. Inside, Li Zhenghao and several High-Level members were anxiously discussing strategies, their faces etched with concern.
"Brother Cheng, you’re finally back!" Li Zhenghao exclaimed upon seeing Park Bucheng, as if he had found a lifeline.
"What’s the situation?" Park Bucheng asked in a deep voice.
"It’s bad! The enemy is coming on strong, and we’ve already lost quite a few brothers!" Li Zhenghao's tone was filled with anxiety.
"Damn it! Those bastards!" Park Bucheng cursed vehemently. "How did they find out about our Gang Stronghold?"
"It's an insider!" one of the High-Level members gritted his teeth. "Someone must have leaked information to them!"
A cold glint flashed in Park Bucheng's eyes; he knew they had to identify the traitor quickly, or the consequences would be dire. "Now is not the time to assign blame!" Li Zhenghao interrupted them. "The priority is how to fend off the enemy's attack!"
"Brother Cheng, do you have any ideas?" Everyone turned to Park Bucheng, their eyes filled with hope.
After a moment of contemplation, Park Bucheng said, "Fewer Against Many; we can't fight them head-on. We must outsmart them."
"How do we outsmart them?" Li Zhenghao pressed.
"Disperse our defenses and concentrate our superior forces to take them down one by one!" A spark of determination shone in Park Bucheng's eyes.
The battle soon erupted. Gunfire, explosions, and cries of battle echoed through the night. Although the Tai Chi Gang's members were scared, under Park Bucheng's command, they fought back fiercely, using their bodies to form line after line of defense.
Park Bucheng stood alone, facing the expert sent by the Chaebol—a man named Choi Seung Hyun. Choi Seung Hyun possessed profound internal strength and exceptional martial skills. From the moment he struck, he displayed formidable power, forcing Park Bucheng to retreat repeatedly.
"Kid, your skills are impressive, but unfortunately, you're destined to die here today!" Choi Seung Hyun sneered, his eyes filled with murderous intent.
Park Bucheng let out a cold laugh. Instead of retreating, he advanced, employing the Graceful Wave Steps. His figure moved like a ghost, evading Choi Seung Hyun's attacks while searching for a flaw in his opponent's defense.
Suddenly, an opportunity arose! Choi Seung Hyun missed a heavy punch, causing him to momentarily falter. Park Bucheng seized the chance, swiftly appearing behind Choi Seung Hyun and delivering a palm strike to his back.
"Tianshan Six Yang Palm!"
A surge of powerful internal energy surged into Choi Seung Hyun's body, instantly destroying his internal organs. With a scream of agony, Choi Seung Hyun spat blood and collapsed to the ground, lifeless.
Having dealt with Choi Seung Hyun, Park Bucheng immediately joined the other battles. He charged forward like a fierce tiger descending from the mountain, unstoppable; wherever he went, enemies fell one after another. The morale of the Tai Chi Gang's members soared at this sight, and they fought even more valiantly.
The battle continued throughout the night. Although the Tai Chi Gang suffered heavy casualties, they held on until dawn. Reinforcements finally arrived, causing the enemy to flee in defeat.
Standing on the smoke-filled battlefield, Park Bucheng's eyes glimmered with complex emotions. He knew this fight was just the beginning; his struggle against the Chaebol would continue...
Suddenly, a shadow crawled out from the ruins.
