Wang Er, driven mad by the effects of the drug, lunged at Liang Tian and the others like a frenzied beast. Liang Tian quickly reacted, shouting for the other thugs to get out of the way while sidestepping Wang Er's attack. Wang Er missed his target but did not stop; he turned and charged at the nearest thug, who was unable to dodge in time and was sent flying, crashing heavily to the ground.
Liang Tian knew he couldn't let Wang Er continue like this; otherwise, the thugs would be in serious danger. He channeled his Spiritual Energy and executed a deft maneuver, positioning himself behind Wang Er. Seizing the moment, he struck a palm against Wang Er's neck. The blow contained just the right amount of Spiritual Energy, causing Wang Er to black out immediately.
Seeing Wang Er collapse, the other thugs turned pale with fear and scrambled out of the rental apartment in a panic. Liang Tian sighed as he looked at the unconscious Wang Er, realizing that this trouble caused by the elixir was no small matter. He approached to check on Wang Er's condition and found that although there were strange changes in his body, his life was not in danger; he just needed time to process the drug's effects. Liang Tian struggled to move Wang Er onto the bed, deciding to wait until he woke up before making any further plans.
After dealing with Wang Er's situation, Liang Tian felt a bit downcast. He had intended to use the elixir to enhance his strength but ended up with complications instead. As night fell, he decided to head out to a bar for a drink to unwind.
Upon arriving at the bar, he found it dimly lit and filled with loud music. Liang Tian settled into a corner, ordered a drink, and fell into deep thought. Just then, a commotion erupted in the center of the bar. Liang Tian looked up to see a group of people surrounding a burly man who exuded confidence and fearlessness, his eyes radiating an aura of dominance.
Curiosity piqued, Liang Tian got up to take a closer look. He overheard one of the green-haired thugs arrogantly say, "Xiao Zhan, don’t think you’re impressive just because you have some fame in Jiangnan City’s Underworld. You’ve messed up our plans today; don’t think you can leave easily!" Liang Tian’s heart raced; this man was indeed Xiao Zhan.
Xiao Zhan scoffed dismissively and replied, "You lot? You think you can stop me? If you know what’s good for you, get lost now; otherwise, when I make my move, you won’t fare well." The green-haired thug fumed with humiliation and waved his hand, signaling everyone to charge at Xiao Zhan.
Unfazed, Xiao Zhan moved swiftly, using both fists and feet with powerful strikes that carried an unstoppable momentum. In no time at all, several of the thugs attacking him lay sprawled on the ground. Liang Tian watched Xiao Zhan's skills in awe.
However, at that moment, one thug took advantage of Xiao Zhan’s distraction and launched a surprise attack from behind with a beer bottle aimed at Xiao Zhan's head. Seeing this unfold, Liang Tian acted without thinking; he channeled his Spiritual Energy and unleashed an invisible force that struck the thug's wrist. The beer bottle clattered to the floor as Xiao Zhan sensed the commotion behind him and swiftly kicked the thug away.
Xiao Zhan turned to Liang Tian with a glint of surprise and gratitude in his eyes. Liang Tian approached him and said, "Be careful; there are too many of them." Xiao Zhan laughed heartily and replied, "Thanks for your help, brother! These little Underling are no match for me."
As they spoke, the bar owner arrived with security personnel to escort the troublemaking thugs out. Xiao Zhan clapped Liang Tian on the shoulder and said, "Brother, I appreciate your help just now. I’m Xiao Zhan; I value those who stand up for others. May I ask your name?" Liang Tian smiled slightly and replied, "I’m Liang Tian." Xiao Zhan nodded approvingly and said, "Nice name! Brother Liang, since we’ve crossed paths today, how about we share a drink?" Liang Tian readily agreed as they made their way to the bar together, raising their glasses in celebration—unbeknownst to them that this encounter would mark the beginning of a deep friendship.
