Since exchanging contact information with Chen Xue, Liang Tian and her had grown increasingly close, often meeting to chat. However, Liang Tian did not let this distract him from his cultivation. He understood that behind the seemingly calm city lay countless unknown challenges, and only by continuously improving his strength could he better protect those around him.
One day, as usual, Liang Tian returned to his modest yet comforting rented room. Sitting cross-legged, Liang Tian placed the herbs before him and circulated his Spiritual Energy, conjuring a pale blue flame in his palm. This flame appeared gentle but was extremely hot, a type of spiritual fire commonly used in celestial alchemy. He carefully tossed the herbs into the fire, focusing intently on controlling the heat and the infusion of Spiritual Energy. As the herbs gradually melted and fused in the flames, a strange yet faintly fragrant aroma filled the room.
After a painstaking and meticulous process, a pill emitting a faint glow finally took shape. Liang Tian gazed at this pill, which contained his hard work and hopes, with eyes full of anticipation. He knew that while this pill could not compare to high-grade pills from the celestial realm, it was undoubtedly a precious aid for someone like him, who was currently in the mortal world with scarce cultivation resources.
Just as Liang Tian prepared to consume the pill, a sudden flurry of hurried and noisy footsteps echoed from the hallway, shattering the tranquility of the room. The door to his rented space was kicked open violently, and several local bullies from school barged in. Leading them was Wang Er, a friend of Liu Hu.
Wang Er immediately spotted the pill in Liang Tian's hand, greed flashing in his eyes as he mockingly said, "Oh? What treasure is this? Liang Tian, you've been quite the show-off lately; why not share some good stuff with your brothers?" With that, he waved his hand, signaling the other bullies to come forward and seize it.
Anger surged within Liang Tian; these bullies were notorious for their lack of ambition and misdeeds. How dare they brazenly invade his space to rob him? Instinctively wanting to resist, he hesitated at the thought that if he fought back, the pill might be damaged in the chaos. He forced himself to suppress his anger and attempted to drive them away: "This isn't a place for you; get lost!"
However, Wang Er and his gang were not easily deterred; emboldened by their numbers, they pressed closer. In an attempt to evade them, Liang Tian accidentally allowed Wang Er to snatch away the pill. Wang Er triumphantly popped it into his mouth while tauntingly saying, "Let me see what this rare thing tastes like."
As soon as the pill entered his mouth, it transformed into an overwhelming and violent force that surged through Wang Er's body. His face turned pale instantly before flushing bright red; he clutched his stomach in agony and let out cries of pain. The other bullies stood frozen in shock, unsure of what to do.
Liang Tian cursed under his breath; this pill had been refined specifically for his own physique and cultivation level. Wang Er had no hope of enduring its potency after taking it recklessly. At that moment, he rushed forward to try to help Wang Er suppress the drug's effects, but the power within Wang Er was too fierce for Liang Tian to control.
Under the impact of the drug's force, Wang Er's body began to undergo remarkable changes. His originally frail frame swelled rapidly; muscles bulged out one after another while his skin became incredibly tough and emitted a faint metallic sheen. Simultaneously, his gaze grew increasingly ferocious as if he had lost all rationality; he lunged wildly at Liang Tian and the other bullies…
