Jia Xingliang looked up, his deep-set eyes glancing at the sky before he nodded and said, "Then let's open the tomb. Since someone has come to provoke us at the Hong Kong Island Feng Shui Community, as the President, I must do my utmost. This artifact was buried here five years ago due to its malevolent nature, but after five years of being infused with the earth's energy, it should have concealed its sharpness."
As his words fell, several strong men began to energetically dig away the packed earth from the grave. A few minutes later, a not-so-large coffin made of golden silk nanmu wood was revealed. The men lifted the coffin out; thanks to its preservation treatment, it remained as good as new after being buried for five years. The coffin was wrapped in copper coins and golden silk threads, adorned with numerous Feng Shui symbols.
Seeing the coffin being brought out, Jia Xingliang approached, formed a hand seal, and then touched the coffin. The copper coins and golden silk threads covering it fell away instantly. This coffin was the center of the Eight Immortals Ridge formation; now that the center was destroyed, the formation lost its effectiveness. Jiang Chen observed as the faint Earth Spirit Energy dissipated into the air. Although the Earth Spirit Energy of Eight Immortals Ridge had been exhausted, it would circulate through the earth and could be restored in a few years.
"Let's open the coffin," Jia Xingliang instructed.
Curiosity filled the air. With Jia Xingliang's high level of Feng Shui expertise, any artifact he treated this way must be extraordinary.
Inside the coffin were four command flags, and in the center lay a magic sword. The sword measured three feet long; one side of its blade was engraved with the Big Dipper constellation while the other bore intricate symbols. The hilt featured a dragon and tiger design.
Jia Xingliang bent down to pick up the magic sword. Under the sunlight, it gleamed coldly, resembling black scales with dark rays flowing along its surface, exuding a chilling aura. His expression grew serious as he formed a sword seal and recited an incantation. The sword emitted a sharp cry that sounded like a wailing ghost; black mist erupted from its dark blade, mingled with earthy yellow Earth Spirit Energy.
"President Jia, I didn't expect that after five years, this Seven Star Sword would still carry such heavy malevolence," someone remarked with a hint of regret upon seeing this.
"This Seven Star Sword has been buried in a poisonous land for hundreds of years; its toxicity has seeped into every inch of it. Truly removing this poison is no easy task unless we remold it entirely. However, by placing it in this excellent Feng Shui location for five years and nurturing it with the Earth Spirit Energy of Eight Immortals Ridge, we have somewhat suppressed its malevolence. I will use it once this time; it should be harmless," Jia Xingliang replied.
Hearing this, the other Feng Shui Masters nodded in agreement.
"Alright, having borrowed from Eight Immortals Ridge's Earth Spirit Energy for five years, we will now set up an energy drawing formation to attract Earth Spirit Energy from other areas so that Eight Immortals Ridge can quickly restore its ecology," Jia Xingliang said.
The crowd dispersed to arrange their formations. Several strong men worked together to push open the coffin lid, and everyone craned their necks to look inside, including Jiang Chen.
Jia Xingliang carefully stored away the Seven Star Sword in an ancient sword box before walking over to Lin Rumei.
"Miss Lin, I heard you were looking for me to seek an audience with my master. What is it about?" Jia Xingliang asked. He recognized Lin Rumei; after all, they were both prominent figures on Hong Kong Island and had crossed paths before. Moreover, as a Feng Shui Master like Jia Xingliang often relied on connections with Hong Kong Island's elite for his livelihood.
