The day of my birth arrived in the blink of an eye. In Lake One Hospital's Obstetrics and Gynecology department, a sharp cry echoed through the room as I made my entrance into this Underworld family. 0

Congratulations to the father, who welcomed a precious son weighing eight pounds and six ounces, with both mother and child safe. 0

Soon after, Li Hong was wheeled out by the nurse, sweat glistening on her forehead as she forced a smile at Zhao Changsheng. "Old Zhao, I've given you a big boy." 0

Zhao Changsheng didn't rush to hold his child immediately. Instead, as soon as Li Hong was brought out, he hurried to her side and wiped her sweat with a handkerchief. "You've worked hard, my dear. This little rascal—once he grows up, I’m going to give him a good beating." 0

Months passed, and it became known that Zhao Changsheng was the only one among his peers to have a son. Some rejoiced while others lamented; the only one truly happy was Zhao Changsheng himself. 0

Looking at me in the baby carriage, he chuckled, "You little rascal, you better make me proud! All those other guys have daughters; they’ll all end up being my Old Zhao family's daughters-in-law. Hahaha! My Old Zhao family is going to flourish!" 0

After a hearty laugh, Zhao Changsheng squatted beside me and declared, "Then your name shall be Zhao Lun—ethics, morality, and all that nonsense about their daughters. Hahaha!" 0

As time passed, I found myself on the eve of my birthday. For all these years, I had lived an unremarkable life filled with studying, learning piano, music, painting—whatever I could pick up. My upbringing was no different from that of any normal child. 0

From the moment I gained awareness, my parents raised me like an upper-class individual, teaching me various social skills and knowledge. To be honest, these were not things I was particularly interested in; however, considering Zhao Changsheng and his seven wolves of a family, I complied with their wishes. After all, I couldn't withstand the pressure from those seven wolves. 0

I didn’t even know my father was an Underworld big shot; I just knew we were a wealthy family running a building materials group. 0

Finally, after tomorrow, I could leave behind the busy life I had led for years. Once I turned eighteen, I could live life as I wished—drinking, surfing the internet—the world was vast and full of possibilities. The thought excited me so much that it took me two hours to fall asleep. 0

The next morning, due to last night’s excitement, I barely slept. Groggy and disoriented, I tidied up a bit and hastily grabbed a couple of bites at the dining table before hopping into the driver’s car to head to school. 0

Lake First High School is an elite institution where students come from affluent families. If we’re talking about wealth and status, my Old Zhao family is certainly among the top in this school. 0

This inevitably attracted some sycophants among my classmates. However, thanks to the education from Old Zhao and Li Hong since childhood, I merely indulged them superficially while keeping my true friends close—one of whom was our class's underachiever. 0

Speaking of this underachiever—his name is Hu Yao. His family also runs a building materials company but focuses on areas that my family avoids entirely. 0

Our relationship began as one of mutual disdain; he belonged to that group who catered to me but didn’t hold back from insulting me due to my family's power. This led us to clash physically once; we were about the same height and built similarly. Having learned Sanda while he practiced boxing resulted in both of us coming out bruised but bonded. 0

Friendship between men is simple: after fighting on the same day, we could call each other brothers. That’s how it was with him; thus his family's business began thriving alongside ours—not that it wasn’t intentional on his part—but so what? At least I genuinely recognized him as a person. 0

As soon as I got out of the car at school entrance, I spotted his familiar figure wearing our school uniform with one shoulder strap of his backpack hanging down—a look most boys our age found cool; I was no exception. 0

"Hey, Zhao Lun! Did you bring breakfast for your Hu Ge?" he called out. 0

"Forget it! If you don’t eat breakfast, you’ll starve." 0

I walked over to him; we exchanged glances and laughed before linking arms and heading toward our classroom together. 0

We arrived at the classroom, one after the other. At a glance, my desk was piled high with gifts of all shapes and sizes, and anything that couldn't fit on the table was placed underneath it. 0

As I stood there in a daze, a crowd of people suddenly surged before me, all shouting together, "Happy Birthday, Zhao Lun!" 0
