"He was rescued and is currently in the hospital," Xiao Tian replied, continuing to recount what he had heard.
Lin Xiao's mind buzzed with worry as she opened the official website for Yurou County. She hadn't heard from him in days; for the past two months, she had intentionally stopped following his updates.
Sitting alone at her desk, feeling lost, she picked up her phone and called Zhao Chenghua. "Sister, I heard that Li Secretary is in trouble. Is he okay?"

She felt it was too abrupt to go alone and didn't know what to say to Li Hao. Bringing Xiao Tian along would be just right; Xiao Tian was talkative and would keep the conversation flowing.
"We shouldn't go, right?" Xiao Tian said, not foolish enough to think he could just show up. He had no personal connection with Li Hao and felt out of place.
Lin Xiao began to persuade Xiao Tian, mentioning that Li Shuji was young and accomplished. It was a good opportunity to make an appearance. At a crucial moment, they would definitely need to show support. Besides, if they didn’t see him now, they could always say they visited once he recovered.
