Although the user still had to exert some effort to lift his foot, the situation had greatly improved. Yun Yi followed the ground, and the staircase was conveniently located in the front yard of the villa, right next to the main entrance. This was an ideal position, as it would not pose any trouble for personnel moving back and forth to the basement in the future.
Looking up at the darkening sky, Yun Yi couldn't help but lament how quickly time flew. He had planned to start building the basement that morning, and now night was approaching. Taking advantage of the remaining daylight, he wanted to try his luck fishing at a nearby pond. Recently, Yun Yi discovered that he seemed to have become an avid angler; if a day went by without fishing, he felt restless.
It wasn't so much that he was passionate about fishing itself, but rather the high rewards it brought, especially in his quest for Enchanted Books. Acquiring these precious items through conventional means was nearly impossible, as the obsidian and diamonds required for the Enchantment Table were extremely difficult to obtain. In the real world, finding these resources was even more challenging.
For instance, although he knew there were many diamond mines in Africa, his lack of familiarity with that continent made it impossible for him to know where to start. Thus, when it came to diamonds, Yun Yi could only leave it to fate.
However, without the necessary materials, he couldn't construct the crucial Enchantment Table. The inability to create an Enchantment Table meant he couldn't craft Enchanted Books—a truly despairing cycle. In contrast, fishing had become Yun Yi's best and only means of obtaining enchanted gear.
Though this method heavily relied on luck, he believed that with enough time invested, even the most unfortunate player could eventually have a chance at catching valuable loot—like the trident he currently possessed with its special bonuses and the magical Fishing Rod he was using.
Now standing once again by the pond, he looked forward to what miracle might occur next. Yun Yi skillfully settled onto a stone pedestal at the Pavilion and reached into a nearby box to retrieve a fishing rod enhanced with Bait Fishing effects. With a casual flick of his wrist, he cast the line into the air, tracing a perfect arc before landing smoothly in the pond.
Ripples spread across the water's surface as the white buoy bobbed up and down. Thanks to this Bait Fishing Enchanted Book, each time he cast his line, the waiting time for fish to bite was significantly reduced—perfect for someone as impatient as Yun Yi.
About twenty seconds later, subtle waves began to ripple across the still water. A series of bubbles rushed up from below and merged with the iconic white buoy. Almost simultaneously, the buoy dipped sharply; seizing the moment, Yun Yi deftly lifted his fishing rod.
In an instant, an orange-yellow object shot up from the bottom of the pond. As it fully emerged and landed on solid ground, Yun Yi focused his gaze—it was a saddle!
The saddle was not only regarded as a lucky charm, but it was also extremely rare to obtain. Even after several days of frequent fishing, one could still hope for a catch. Considering its unique practicality and irreplaceable status, it could not be crafted directly on the Crafting Table in the latest version of the game "Minecraft."
However, this did not seem to deter Yun Yi. He discovered that even on the current crafting table he was using, he could create this precious saddle. Perhaps it was because he had been exposed to the latest game version in reality; according to the game rules, saddles should not be craftable under these conditions, yet now it had become possible.
If this speculation was accurate, it would signify an exhilarating change. This meant that not only saddles but also many special items from previous versions had a chance to reappear in his world. With this thought, Yun Yi's heart brimmed with enthusiasm for exploring more possibilities.
When Yun Yi picked up the saddle, his eyes sparkled with excitement. Even though his backpack contained a fair amount of leather and iron, he had previously attempted to craft a saddle on the Crafting Table using those materials. The reason behind his failure was simple: he lacked essential items like Golden Carrots or Golden Apples needed to tame mounts suitable for saddles, such as horses, donkeys, and mules. Without these animals, the primary function of the saddle would be significantly limited.
However, just as Yun Yi was lost in thought, a memory surfaced in his mind regarding a tip about the saddle's usage. The saddle could not only be used on traditional mounts like horses but also on a more peculiar option: pigs. Indeed, riding a pig equipped with a saddle required no taming steps; one could simply hop on and drive it.
But then came the challenge: merely putting a saddle on a pig did not guarantee perfect control over the creature. After all, which pig would willingly abandon its lazy nature? Unless one could provide a little extra motivation...
