In his hands, the Fishing Rod had the power to conjure fish from thin air. Yet, he was uncertain whether an ordinary person could wield the Fishing Rod to perform this miraculous act of fishing in the void as he did. Zhao Yun gripped the Fishing Rod tightly, his gaze fixed intently on the White Buoy bobbing on the water's surface, not daring to relax for even a moment.
Earlier, when he watched Yun Xiao Yi effortlessly reel in fish after fish, curiosity had sparked within him—a desire to experience the wonder of this extraordinary fishing rod. Now that his wish had been fulfilled, how could he not feel an overwhelming excitement? However, as the float remained still on the rippling water, showing no signs of movement even after nearly a minute and a half of waiting, his anticipation began to wane.
Under normal circumstances, with a regular Fishing Rod, waiting for a bite would not take this long. Of course, considering Yun Xiao Yi's experiences, he had encountered similar situations before. But Zhao Yun's circumstances were entirely different. Although he appeared unchanged from his previous self before crossing over, internally he had transformed into a being that conformed to the rules of the My World game—Steve.
Thus, he had to give it his all and not allow himself even a moment of distraction. Observing Yun Xiao Yi's fishing process had ignited an insatiable desire within him to experience the joy of fishing in the void. But then again, Zhao Yun was indeed different from Yun Xiao Yi. Although he retained his former appearance, his inner essence had transformed into that of Steve from My World.
In this situation, he dared not let his guard down for even a moment. Remembering the scene he had witnessed earlier with Yun Xiao Yi fishing, curiosity compelled him to try it himself. Now, as he finally held that astonishing fishing rod in his hands, how could his heart not be tumultuous?

Faced with this reality, Zhao Yun couldn't help but look up at Yun Xiao Yi. "Immortal, it seems I am unable to fish in the void." With that, he handed the fishing rod over to Yun Xiao Yi.
The latter took it and effortlessly cast it out. Fortunately, this time they waited only a second before a series of bubbles appeared nearby, slowly approaching beneath the White Buoy. Then, the White Buoy swiftly sank into the water. With a quick tug from Yun Xiao Yi, a brilliantly colored red salmon was easily pulled onto the shore.
Watching the fish lie still on the ground, no longer moving, Zhao Yun couldn't help but let out a deep sigh. It proved that no matter how powerful an ordinary person might be, they could not transcend the boundaries separating them from the immortal realm. Being mortal inherently limited their capabilities.
Yun Xiao Yi examined the fishing rod in his hand and then glanced at the salmon lying quietly on the ground, seemingly confirming that there was nothing wrong with the rod itself. It appeared that the issue lay with the user.
Nevertheless, as a former engineering student, his interest in research drove him to explore further before giving up easily. To reach a more accurate conclusion, it was necessary to introduce some experimental conditions. Thus, he invited Zhao Yu and Zhao Niang to join him in serious experimentation. Even after extending their efforts to over half an hour, the results remained unchanged.
At this point, Yun Xiao Yi realized that in the world of My World, only he could use that special fishing rod to fish in the void.
Of course, if one were to place ordinary bait on a fishing line in waters teeming with real fish, anyone could easily achieve that. But what if one were to engage in virtual fishing with nothing beneath the water's surface? This was something only he could accomplish.
The unfortunate part was that if an ordinary person could do this, he could easily mass-produce such fishing rods. He envisioned gathering all the villagers from both Zhao Family Village and Xinghua Village, totaling over a thousand people, to fish together. If successful, it would not only solve the problem of catching fish but also address food shortages.
Even more enticing was the possibility of reeling in special items like Enchanted Books, Enchanted Bows, and Enchanted Fishing Rods on a larger scale. Unfortunately, this grand vision was doomed to fail before it even began.
As he put away his fishing gear, Yun Xiao Yi thought to himself that despite any special discoveries during the experiment, this experience still yielded unexpected rewards. Not long after casting his line again, he caught around twenty swimming fish, three pufferfish, three pairs of Leather Boots, and a strand of fine silk.
Yun Xiao Yi couldn't help but smile wryly, feeling as though there was a peculiar connection between himself and these leather boots. While frequently catching them was somewhat frustrating, he realized there was an upside: even if he had no use for them himself, they could serve as prizes for others.
