As he watched the White Buoy land on the water's surface, he began to wait for the right moment. It wasn't long before bubbles appeared, quickly moving from afar towards the White Buoy. If he hadn’t activated creative mode, obtaining an Enchanted Book would have been incredibly difficult. After all, crafting an Enchanted Book requires both a book and an Enchantment Table. Making a book involves paper and leather, while the Enchantment Table requires books, obsidian, and diamonds. These materials are not easily obtained, especially diamonds. If luck is not on your side, you might toil underground for days without finding any.
Thus, during the early to mid-game stages, fishing is the most effective way to acquire an Enchanted Book. The only downside is that it entirely depends on personal luck. Without the Lucky Ocean Enchantment on the Fishing Rod, the chances of catching treasures are already low. Moreover, these treasures do not only include Enchanted Books; they also encompass Saddles, Enchanted Bows, Enchanted Fishing Rods, Name Tags, Nautilus Shells, and more.
Considering this, it was clear that Yun Xiao Yi's luck was certainly not bad if he managed to fish out an Enchanted Book on his first try.
So, could it be that not finding anything last time was just a way to set the stage for his current good fortune? Thinking this way, Yun Xiao Yi's mood instantly brightened.

Considering the inherent seven and a half Defense points of the iron armor, combined with a Defense-enhancing Enchanted Book and a Spiked Level Enchanted Book that could retaliate against enemies, along with the extra Health Points gained from leveling up, he could hardly imagine anyone in this tumultuous late Eastern Han period posing a substantial threat to him.
Let’s not forget that most Enchanted Books function on a percentage basis. For instance, a Level One Defense can reduce damage by a certain amount, while Level Four signifies a reduction of up to a higher percentage. Similarly, the effect of spikes also applies damage reduction based on percentages. Whether it’s melee or ranged attacks, both can trigger the spike effect for retaliation.
What does this mean? It means that even if someone attempted to ambush Yun Xiao Yi from afar with a crossbow bolt, before they could see him fall, the reflected damage might be enough to take them down first. After all, even attacks capable of inflicting some damage would be reduced to negligible amounts after passing through Level Four Defense. Moreover, this doesn’t even take into account the further reductions provided by the armor.
If he truly donned his armor, the actual damage received would be even less significant. However, reflected damage is calculated based on the attacker’s original attack power, not the final actual damage dealt. The attacker had neither an Enchanted Book set nor any armor equipped, thus they could not mitigate the damage they received. They would have to endure every bit of reflected harm, even if it wasn’t full damage but rather a fixed percentage; for an ordinary person, it would still be unbearable.
Yun Xiao Yi could sustain injuries and still consume food or potions to recover Stamina; however, for an average person, they could only wait for their wounds to heal slowly.
After leaving his residence, Yun Xiao Yi walked indifferently towards the Pavilion. Zhao Yun and others noticed the Enchanted Armor he was wearing—the Iron Chest Plate.
