The long and bloody battle finally came to an end, and John slumped down like a puddle of mud atop a mountain of corpses. Although the Holy Light Fighting Training Method could quickly help him recover his stamina and heal his wounds, the deep-seated mental exhaustion was not so easily dispelled.
"My lord!" At that moment, the few remaining loyal soldiers fought their way through the crowded battlefield, rushing to his side like a pack of wild monkeys. They were panting heavily, their faces etched with fatigue.
Originally over three hundred soldiers at the Half-Step Transcendent level, only seventy remained alive now. The thirty powerful Transcendent Knights had suffered even greater losses, with only thirteen still standing. Fortunately, the Epic Level Expert who had entered this place with them was still alive.
This Epic-level expert was none other than a Vampire Beast from the first season of Digimon. However, the Vampire Beast under John's command was not as powerful as its narrative counterpart; it could at best be considered an invincible presence among Epic-level beings. In terms of combat capability, when facing John's Beastman Garurumon, it could manage to take on three at most.
"My lord, please allow me to assist you in getting up." The Vampire Beast bowed slightly and extended a hand, its movements gentle and graceful. Just as John and his subordinates were about to engage in further conversation, brilliant beams of light suddenly descended from the sky, sweeping over their bodies like a tidal wave. The light felt so familiar, as if imbued with some mysterious power that was impossible to resist. Soon after, John felt darkness envelop him once more as his consciousness slipped back into an endless void.
Time passed—how long he could not tell—when John slowly opened his eyes again to find himself and his companions outside the Magic Tower. They had finally escaped the perilous and unknown realm and set foot back on the land of Hecha Kingdom. At that moment, their king, His Majesty Napoleon, stood majestically before them, waiting for their return.
Behind Napoleon lay a vast expanse filled with an array of delicious dishes that made one’s mouth water. Additionally, groups of doctors clad in white robes stood quietly by, their expressions focused and attentive.
With a warm smile lighting up his face, Napoleon opened his arms wide and proclaimed loudly: "Welcome back our fearless warriors of Courage! Here are vibrant flowers and an abundance of exquisite food prepared especially for you all. Once we reach the royal city, there will be beautiful maidens waiting for you too!"
