John tightly gripped the crystal ball that emitted a mysterious glow, hurrying towards the camp. He understood that life was often filled with helplessness; when resistance was futile, it was better to accept it calmly and enjoy the fun within. Now that he possessed this crystal ball, which functioned like a small map, there was no need to move blindly like a headless chicken. He could simply follow the direction indicated by the crystal ball and explore one by one.
When encountering enemies, if they were soldiers from other countries, he would show no mercy and eliminate them without hesitation. However, if they belonged to his own nation, he would allow them to return to their ranks.
Regrettably, this was not a conventional war in the ordinary sense; otherwise, capturing so many enemy soldiers to serve as serfs would undoubtedly be a great achievement. With this thought in mind, John no longer hesitated and decisively took action.
He gathered his troops immediately and announced loudly that they would set off at once, targeting the most densely populated area within a hundred miles. Thus, this formidable team embarked on their expedition.
In just three days, John's kill count increased exponentially. At the same time, the size of his force grew steadily as he continued to recruit scattered and isolated soldiers along the way. After some consolidation, his main force had swelled to nearly ten thousand men.
However, as they searched for the red dots indicated on the map one by one, the situation gradually became more complicated. Sometimes, after enduring great hardships to reach a destination, they would discover that the so-called red dot was actually a terrifying monster.
As a result, not only did they expend considerable effort and resources, but had it not been for John's leadership and the strength of his large numbers, they would have likely suffered significant casualties.
In the sky above, more than a hundred stars shone brightly against a backdrop of majestic thrones. These thrones varied in height and shape, seemingly bearing endless mystery and power.
On one throne sat a powerful man clad in ornate knightly armor, wielding a sharp sword or heavy shield that radiated an intimidating aura. Another throne was occupied by an ordinary-looking individual whose plain appearance belied an extraordinary presence. There were also thrones occupied by wizards draped in splendid magical robes, their staffs shimmering with strange light as if they could unleash devastating spells at any moment.
Not every throne was occupied; those empty thrones resembled silent giants waiting patiently for their masters' return.
If John were present at that moment, he would undoubtedly be astonished to recognize one of the figures—someone he knew well from the Holy Domain War! At this very moment, that person sat leisurely on one of the thrones, surrounded by exquisite delicacies laid out before him.
Just then, a man with hair as dry and yellow as a withered skeleton suddenly spoke: "This game is far too dull; why don't I add a little excitement for them?"
