John carefully navigated through the dense underbrush, his gaze fixed intently on the chaotic melee ahead. Soldiers clad in various types of armor were locked in a frenzied battle, the clashing of metal and the shouts of combatants creating a deafening cacophony.
Suddenly, a familiar set of standard armor caught John's eye, instantly sharpening his focus. Although he was unsure which commander these soldiers served under, he recognized them as his own subordinates. It was time for him to step forward!
Taking a deep breath, John stomped his foot against the ground, using the powerful recoil to propel himself into the fray like a bolt of lightning. While he did not know the specific unit involved in this skirmish, he was confident that none of his soldiers would fail to recognize their commander.
"It's the Commander!" someone shouted first.
"It's Lord Count!" another voice followed, filled with excitement.
Upon hearing that John was a count, the enemy soldiers showed no signs of retreat; instead, they attempted to press their attack. However, as they sensed the overwhelming aura of an Epic-level knight emanating from John, their faces turned pale with fear. They cursed inwardly, wishing they could sprout two more legs to flee faster.
Thus, those once fierce enemy soldiers turned into frightened birds, scrambling away in panic deeper into the forest.
John would not let these foes escape easily; he understood that every enemy eliminated would increase their chances of victory. He swiftly drew his gleaming longsword from his waist and bellowed, "Chase!" Leading his eager soldiers like tigers descending from the mountain, they pursued the fleeing enemies.
In no time, the forest echoed with hurried footsteps, the clash of swords, and the rising cries of battle. John led from the front, wielding his sword with fierce precision, leaving a trail of blood in his wake.
After an intense and exhilarating chase filled with slashing and combat, John delivered a final blow to the last enemy soldier's head, bringing an end to this bloody skirmish.
At this moment, John paused and slowly turned around to face the small group behind him—now panting and reduced to fewer than fifty men. He asked, "Which unit do you belong to?"
The leading man gasped for breath before responding, "Commander, I am from the Third Legion's Fourth Thousandth Squad's Sixth Squad."
"Oh, so you are under Mokesi," John replied.
