Just kidding! I wanted you all to think I was finishing up yesterday, but we’re just getting started.
As I mentioned before about business, let’s talk about the territory. John has divided his land into seventeen villages; the larger ones have over a thousand residents, while the smaller ones host around seven or eight hundred. Additionally, there are two small towns, each with approximately four thousand people. The last census estimated the total population of the territory to be around forty thousand.
That’s almost more than the Viscount’s domain! For instance, John’s brother Redman only has about twenty thousand people in his territory. John has definitely been diligent in managing his land, and there’s still a significant baby boom happening. If we factor in the expected newborns, the population could easily reach nearly fifty thousand.
(The demographic structure is relatively light; there aren’t many old serfs.)
Thanks to this large population, the army has expanded tremendously—from an initial four hundred to two thousand soldiers, all equipped with self-manufactured Ironclad armor. John even managed to form a hundred-member semi-Transcendent Knight squad (with over a hundred of them coming from the Roman Twilight skill, stabilizing ten Half-Step Transcendents). His subordinates include seventy Transcendent Knights; it’s not that John doesn’t want more, but acquiring beasts at the Transcendent level is quite challenging. (John has developed over a dozen alternative bloodline potions, such as those for Magic Tigers and magical leopards.)
Due to the abundance of ordinary and Transcendent-level bloodline potions, both John’s territory and surrounding lands have seen a complete disappearance of magical beasts; Blink County hardly sees any at all.
As for templates, several have been developed, but John no longer places much importance on them. The only one he truly values is that of a knight.
