Having made up his mind to renovate the castle, John was naturally not inclined to be overly frugal. However, constructing a castle was far from an easy task; it involved numerous complex elements and specialized skills. Craftsmen such as stonemasons, bricklayers, and carpenters were essential.
Despite having developed his territory for over half a year, John had indeed managed to acquire some craftsmen through purchase. Unfortunately, these craftsmen generally lacked practical experience in castle construction. John did not want to find himself living in a rickety and dangerous structure, especially with a child on the way. The thought of not having a safe and secure home at that time was simply unimaginable. Nevertheless, this challenge was no match for the clever and resourceful John.
After all, times had changed; John had become a wealthy man. Since he lacked craftsmen with relevant experience, he decided to initiate a recruitment campaign!
Thus, Luni and Wutan City sprang into action upon receiving John's orders, tirelessly searching for suitable craftsmen throughout Wutan City. Not only that, but Luni also paid a substantial deposit in advance and quickly transported all the craftsmen along with the necessary building materials to Salty Fish Village.
As the craftsmen began to arrive one after another, a small yet intricately planned castle blueprint quickly came into being. The castle was cleverly situated beside a gently flowing stream, covering an area of meters by meters, presenting a unique layout that was longer in the east-west direction and narrower in the north-south direction. Encompassing this vast area of square meters was a solid wall rising to meters high, like loyal guardians surrounding the territory and ensuring its peace.
At the heart of the castle stood the main building, an impressive structure measuring meters by meters, soaring four stories high like a miniature fortress.
The design of this castle was nothing short of exquisite! The first floor featured numerous important spaces. A spacious dining room could accommodate dozens of people at once; a fully equipped conference room met various meeting needs; an aromatic kitchen was always ready to prepare delicious meals; the soldiers' quarters were simply yet comfortably arranged to allow them ample rest; a massive warehouse was stocked with various supplies for emergencies; and the dining room boasted an array of exquisite tableware.
Ascending to the second floor revealed cozy bedrooms for servants, guest rooms for visitors to rest, a well-stocked library filled with knowledge, and clean communal washrooms. Each room was meticulously maintained to provide comfort and convenience for its inhabitants.
On the third floor was where Annie and their future children would live and play. Every corner was adorned with whimsical decorations that made it feel like stepping into a fairy tale.
The fourth floor was particularly special; it was only half the size of a normal floor. Here, there was an expansive observation deck as well as John's private quarters and tranquil study. In times of war, this floor could swiftly transform into an emergency command center, playing a crucial role.
Additionally, the underground part of the castle held its own surprises. The cellar stored ample food supplies while the wine cellar housed countless fine wines.
