John was not one to hesitate upon hearing the news; he called over Tagore to take a look, thinking it would be easier to discuss things in person. "Tagore, go take a trip," he instructed.
"Understood, my lord," Tagore replied, hastily stuffing a few pastries into his mouth before standing up.
Poland was quite pleased with John's attitude. Even when sending someone to find his son, he had chosen a mid-level manager from John's ranks. Tagore was well aware that he was one of John's top subordinates.
"Thanks for the trouble, brother!"
Tagore ignored Poland's comment. Despite being a Transcendent Knight, he was just like anyone else when it came to work; however, it was still necessary to find someone.
Outside the tent, John and a few others watched as Tom Wilson wielded his battle axe with impressive skill. It was clear he had trained hard. At just ten years old, Tom danced around with the long-handled weapon, unaware of why his father wanted him to showcase his abilities to Knight John. However, he knew that John Ke was favored by Lord Redman, so performing well could only be beneficial.
"Good job!" John cheered enthusiastically. He was quite impressed by the young lad who stood at about five foot eight. Although Tom had not yet reached Half-Step Transcendent status, his agility and skill were promising.
John understood that for a proper knight, the early stages were crucial for building strength and honing combat skills. With daily practice of the Universal Qi Training Method, once the Knight Seed was planted within his body, achieving Half-Step Transcendent status would be within reach. When the Knight's Flame ignited within that seed, he would become a Transcendent.
It seemed that Tom might achieve Half-Step Transcendent status within this month, qualifying him as a Knight Attendant.
"Poland, you’ve given me a fine young man! I reckon it won’t be long before he awakens his Universal Qi Training Method," John remarked.
"Hahaha! As Tom's father, I couldn't be prouder. My greatest achievement in life has been raising sons who are all remarkable in their own right. My eldest and second sons have both been sent to serve Lord Redman; I didn’t want to burden one person with my youngest son. John is also an excellent choice."
"So, what do you think? Have you taken a liking to him?"
"Of course! How could I not like such a promising young man? I’ll have him train under Mozart; after all, Mozart comes from a knightly background. Although he hasn’t achieved Transcendent status himself, he is more than qualified to teach."
"Then I must thank you, Brother John," Poland replied. "You know that Mozart is actually the commander of the Serf Soldiers. If Tom can learn some military tactics from him, it will benefit him for life."
"It’s no trouble at all," John said dismissively.
Seeing that everything was settled, Poland quickly called over his son Tom Wilson.
"Present your respects to the knight!"
After some bustling about, Tom finally joined John's ranks. Satisfied with how things turned out, Poland planned to return and report to Lord Redman.
"By the way, Knight John has invited you for a drink tonight," Poland added.
"That’s no problem at all," John readily agreed; he didn’t foresee any issues arising from it.
As he watched Poland leave, John turned to Mozart beside him and spoke up.
"Take Tom Wilson to the Serf Soldier and let him serve as a Captain to hone his skills," Mozart said, nodding in agreement and beckoning for Tom Wilson to follow.
