The excited laughter of Kuiradi abruptly stopped as the potion he had just consumed began to take effect. His body rapidly radiated an astonishing heat, as if a raging fire were burning fiercely within him. His blood seemed to be drawn by some powerful force, beginning to flow backward, causing his previously pale face to flush crimson.
"No, Kuiradi, you need to get out now!"
Seeing this scene, John decisively kicked Kuiradi out of the tent. The already pungent odor emanating from Kuiradi was now mixed with the strange smell produced by his overheating body, filling the tent with an unbearable stench. If he didn’t kick him out, John feared he wouldn’t get a peaceful night’s sleep in this tent.
"Master, you all help me out! Don’t let him back in until he cleans himself up. I want to observe the effects of this potion closely."
John shouted toward the outside of the tent.
"Coming right up!" a voice responded from outside.
Poor Kuiradi lay on the ground, tormented by the potion and unable to move. He watched helplessly as a group of Master’s approached him with mischievous grins, fear and trepidation rising in his heart. Trembling, he spoke.
"What do you want? No! Help me!"
But in response to his pleas for mercy, the Masters showed no signs of compassion and instead advanced toward him step by step.
"We’ll be gentle; don’t worry."
The more they reassured him, the more uneasy Kuiradi felt. The pain in his body was already unbearable; he struggled to crawl away into the distance.
"I’ll wash myself; don’t help me! No, no!"
Half an hour later…
"Master! You must help me! They’re not human! They’re using that big brush meant for horses to scrub me clean! Look at my face; it’s all red now!"
Kuiradi clung tightly to John’s leg, wailing and complaining while shaking his leg incessantly.
John struggled to free himself from Kuiradi’s bear hug and pulled his leg away. He then looked down and examined this pitiful fellow closely.
"Wow, Master! You really are something! Look at Kuiradi; you’ve scrubbed him clean quite a bit!"
John couldn’t help but tease as he observed how much cleaner Kuiradi had become compared to his previously filthy state.
"Hahaha, don’t worry, Master! If Kuiradi gets dirty again next time, we’ll still kindly help him wash up! And if we didn’t scrub him enough this time, we’ll make sure to give him a thorough cleaning next time!"
The mischievous friends still held their large brushes, giggling and gesturing as if they could hardly wait to take action against Kuiradi once more.
"Alright, alright! Stop messing around and get up! What kind of behavior is it to sit on the ground like this? Come over here and let me see how effective that potion really is."
John shook his head in exasperation, then settled back into his main seat and waved at Kuiradi, signaling him to come forward and demonstrate.
Hearing this, Kuiradi felt as if he had been granted a pardon. He quickly scrambled up from the ground. The moment he stood, something miraculous began to happen: his body started to change rapidly.
His once normal human skin tone gradually shifted to a yellow hue, while his hair transformed into golden tufts. His face completely morphed into that of a lion, exuding an air of majesty; his hands and feet turned into sharp beastly claws. From a distance, Kuiradi now resembled a lion beast, embodying the spirit of loyalty and bravery.
