"Understood, Master," the subordinate replied, then turned to let the others continue their training.
John observed for a while and noticed nothing unusual, so he decided to get up and leave. Just as he was about to step away, something crossed his mind, and he paused.
"Where is Kuiradi?"
"My lord, Brother Kuiradi is hunting in the dense forest and is also training those newly empowered warriors," came the reminder.
"Ah, when Kuiradi returns, tell him to find me," John instructed.
"Yes, my lord."
Leaving the training grounds with nothing to do, John walked back to the castle. Looking up at the sun overhead, he thought it was time to practice the Holy Light Fighting Training Method. As for these militia members, despite their decent formation now, in a real battlefield, fifty seasoned veterans would easily cut down this bunch of rookies who had never seen blood; their combat effectiveness was just average.
However, with a Three Hundred-Man Team and his profession's ability to rise from death, he could at least handle four or five Half-Step Transcendents without much trouble.
Kuiradi hummed a little tune, comfortably leaning against the side of the cart, his mind filled with thoughts of the game he had caught.
"Hehe, finally able to deliver results today! Who says I’m just a reckless fool? Look at this achievement; I’ve definitely completed the task assigned by my lord!"
Thinking this way, Kuiradi couldn't help but burst into laughter: "Hahaha!" His laughter seemed to pierce through the clouds.
Suddenly, a voice interrupted him.
"What are you laughing about, Kuiradi?"
Startled, Kuiradi straightened up and looked around. Oh, it was Master who had arrived.
"Huh?" Kuiradi steadied himself and said to Master, "You sneaked up on me! You almost scared my soul away! Come over and take a look at my bountiful harvest today. Surely my lord won’t scold me anymore!"
With that, Kuiradi eagerly stood up and walked over to the cart, reaching in to pull out two large, shiny black-furred Magic Wolves.
Master stepped closer to examine the two Magic Wolves closely, a hint of envy flashing in his eyes. However, he quickly regained his composure and genuinely felt happy for Kuiradi. He kindly reminded him,
"Although you’ve achieved great merit this time, be mindful of your image in front of our lord. Stay calm and composed; don’t act so startled like just now. Oh right, our lord instructed that you should find him immediately upon your return."
"What? Why didn’t you tell me sooner?"
Upon hearing this, Kuiradi jumped up in a panic. He didn’t have time to think further and hurriedly leaped down from the cart, sprinting towards the castle. Just a few steps out, he suddenly remembered that the two Magic Wolves were still on the cart. He quickly turned back, grabbed them both in one hand, and then dashed towards the castle like the wind, disappearing from sight in an instant.
Sighing, Master shook his head in resignation and walked back to his training ground, deciding to focus on the tasks at hand.
