The more John looked, the more delighted he became; it seemed to be something called the Bloodline Warrior Serum Formula. By injecting this serum, ordinary people could step into the Transcendent realm and become special beings known as werewolves. These bloodline warriors could freely transform between three forms: human, werewolf, and wolf. Each warrior who underwent this transformation could reach the Half-Step Transcendent level. Furthermore, if John could obtain a Magic Wolf Heart of beast-level quality, it would enable someone to enter the Transcendent realm.
However, there was a drawback: intelligence would decrease slightly, and to improve one's strength further, a stronger serum would be required, which meant needing an even more potent Magic Wolf Heart.
"Hahaha, Kuiradi, you too can step into the Transcendent realm in the future! As long as you follow the instructions to concoct the serum, you will definitely succeed."
"Really?!" Kuiradi couldn't believe it. He knew that his realm was locked at the peak of Half-Step Transcendent due to an irresistible force, and he never expected there might be a chance for further advancement today.
"Don't worry; I will spare no expense to help you out, Master."
John had no intention of using it himself; with his occupational template as an advantage, he looked down on such potential-draining serums. As for his descendants, did he think that the Wu Xun Family trait was just for show? With this trait, his son could become Transcendent by simply training well before the age of thirty-five.
In the future, not only Kuiradi and the Master could benefit from it, but even other Template Reward individuals could use it. After all, they were his most loyal subordinates.
He carefully rolled up the parchment and tucked it deep into his clothing; this was his greatest gain of the day and a significant asset for his future that he couldn't afford to lose.
"Formation!"
Once again, everyone adjusted their postures and states before lining up neatly and marching forward with determined steps deeper into the island. Although this small island wasn't very large in area, its length was quite considerable. From a distance, it resembled a gigantic worm coiled on the ground.
As they continued forward and reached their previous location, they roughly estimated that they had only covered one-third of their journey. The deeper they ventured into the island, the lower the terrain became. Gradually, even John and his companions felt as if they were walking in a basin. Perhaps this was not merely an illusion; it was likely that they were indeed in a naturally formed basin.
The ground beneath their feet grew increasingly damp and soft, as if it had been soaked in water for an extended period. All around them were puddles of various sizes filled with murky mud. With their heavy iron boots, anyone who stepped into these puddles would find themselves firmly stuck unless they exerted considerable effort to pull themselves free; otherwise, continuing forward would become exceedingly difficult.
At that moment, someone suddenly shouted, "Look over there! There are fish!" Following the direction of that person's finger, they indeed spotted some Mudfish and Yellow Eels darting around in a muddy puddle. These fish seemed utterly unafraid of the humans intruding into their territory.
Seeing this, John kicked one unknown Monster Fish that had come too close to him out of frustration. Then he quickly climbed onto a nearby boulder and stood atop it to survey the surroundings. After a moment of excitement, he shouted loudly: "Keep pushing forward! I see what looks like higher ground ahead; once we reach there, it shouldn't be as muddy and difficult to traverse!"
However, before John could descend from the boulder, a sudden cracking sound echoed from beneath him. The noise came from the boulder itself.
The rock shattered beneath him; unable to maintain his balance, John fell along with the fragments.
Dust flew everywhere. Once Kuiradi and the soldiers cleared their eyes from the dust cloud, they saw that where the boulder had been was now just a massive black hole left behind in the distance.
Seeing their Lord disappear without a trace caused Kuiradi and the soldiers to rush to the edge of the hole and shout anxiously.
"Lord, are you there? How are you doing? Are you alright?"
In the cave, John shook his head to dislodge the dust from his helmet and looked up, hearing the calls from above. He steadied himself against the wall and checked his condition—he was fine.
"I'm okay! Kuiradi, bring down some dry vines and remember those torches!"
As they searched for dry vines above, John surveyed his surroundings. The dark cave had taken some time to adjust to, but he could finally make out the situation before him.
The cave was small, with some tables and chairs scattered in the depths, and it seemed there was even a bookshelf. There were piles of items on the ground, but it was too dark to see clearly. Without light, John didn’t dare venture further and had no choice but to wait for Kuiradi and the torches.
Following his search in the forest, Kuiradi descended with ten soldiers carrying dry vines.
