The golden beach stretched before him, the salty sea breeze filling the air as he stepped on the damp sand and gravel. 0

“Ah, ah!” 0

Following John Soldier, an unfamiliar figure watched him intently, unsure of what to make of it all. Although he didn’t understand, he didn’t resist; he simply observed John playing with the sand on the beach. 0

John gazed at the beautiful scenery before him, appreciating this otherworldly place free from pollution and litter. In his previous life, such sights were only seen during vacations, and as a low-ranking clerk, he rarely had the opportunity to travel. If he had been at a beach back then, it would have been crowded with more people than the Terracotta Army in the Qin Shi Huang Mausoleum—more a spectacle of humanity than of nature. 0

As he looked out towards the horizon, he spotted a series of islands dotting the distant sea. Turning to the villagers from Salty Fish Village, he asked, “Have you ever been to those islands?” 0

“The islands? No, sir,” one villager shook his head. “We don’t have boats, and there are carnivorous fish in those waters. No one dares to go that far.” 0

Indeed, without boats, it was unrealistic for these farmers to dream of reaching those islands. John couldn’t understand why the former Lord hadn’t considered purchasing some boats for fishing expeditions. 0

After another glance at the distant islands, John decided to return to the castle. He needed to construct some rafts; boats were out of the question given their lack of skilled personnel, but rafts could be managed. 0

John directed the carpenters and lumberjacks into the forest to fell trees. With each swing of their axes, sturdy trunks came crashing down as the lumberjacks shouted out their calls, hauling the fallen timber from the woods. 0

Once the carpenters completed their final touches, they began carefully binding thick hemp ropes around the rafts. To ensure that the ropes could withstand prolonged exposure to seawater, they soaked them in palm oil. Each knot was tied tightly and securely to prevent any issues. 0

After several days of hard work and collaboration between soldiers and carpenters, they successfully built three sturdy rafts measuring four meters long and two meters wide. 0

As they finished constructing the rafts, John and Kuiradi led forty eager soldiers to their storage location. They hoisted up the heavy rafts and marched along a winding path toward the beach, the gravel crunching underfoot. 0

Crossing through shallow waters, splashes erupted around them, soaking their pant legs until finally releasing the rafts into the sea. 0

With a loud shout, John drew his gleaming sword from his waist and pointed its tip toward the faintly visible islands in the distance. 0

“Everyone aboard! Our target is that island ahead!” 0

At his command, soldiers swiftly boarded the rafts and took their positions with paddles in hand. 0

Standing on the raft, John felt an exhilarating rush coursing through him as he mentally accompanied himself with an inspiring melody. 0

“Wait for it, wait for it…” 0

He couldn’t help but hum softly along with his thoughts while reaching for a bottle of fine wine already prepared on the raft. He tilted his head back and took a hearty swig. 0

The spicy sweetness of the wine slid down his throat and ignited a fiery ambition within him. 0

In that moment, John felt transformed into that legendary figure sailing across vast oceans—Caribbean Pirate Jack Sparrow—while beneath him, his raft morphed into none other than the formidable Black Pearl. 0

Even with the helmet on his head, in his imagination it transformed into a stylish and dashing Pirate Captain's hat, the flowing ribbons adding an air of carefree elegance. 0

The raft was quite sturdy; after all, John was still wielding the Noble Lord's exclusive Whip. If he couldn't use his Little Whip, he would have to emulate Xian Xian and unleash the legendary power of the Bond of Nine Clans. 0

This was something that had been verified by generations of Xian Xian: for a craftsman to work well, the Nine Clans Bond was indispensable. 0
