Lin Qinan had never really believed Yan Kongyue's words, but after years of being tormented by Lin Lang, he finally saw a chance to settle the score. Grabbing his phone, he headed out the door.
"Cousin, you better keep your word. If nothing happens, you’ll be responsible!"
"Responsible? Of course!" Lin Lang headed straight for the garage, while Yan Kongyue exchanged a quick greeting with Lin Lie before following him.
"So I can do whatever I want?"
"Anything illegal is out of the question, and no introducing girlfriends either. Other than that, we can consider it!"
"What if I want those signed sneakers of yours?"
"Pick whichever you like!"
"Deal!"
Fifteen minutes later, he was already driving into a neighborhood.
"You little rascal, you bought your girlfriend a place so close to your home?"
"Yeah, it’s convenient for me to take care of her!"
"I know you too well; it’s really for easy dating!"
"Don’t go upstairs yet; wait until we’re all together!"
"Lin Qinan, don’t go up yet! What if something happens and you don’t tell me? I’d be at a disadvantage!"
"Cousin, you really don’t trust me?"
"Yeah, maybe you should reflect on your character!"
Seeing that Lin Lang had already driven out, Lin Qinan pouted. "Hmph, you’re just jealous of me!"
"Are we far from him now?"
"Not far. Just turn off this road and go through three intersections."
Twenty minutes later, the three finally met up.
"Cousin, where did you find such a beautiful sister?"
"My grandfather's recognized granddaughter—Yan Kongyue. Just call her Yan Kongyue! Hmph, she’s his sister; not just anyone can claim that title."
"Fourth Brother, try to stay behind me when we get there." Yan Kongyue glanced at Lin Lang's pocket where he kept his protective talisman as she spoke.
"Lin Lang, let's go!"
Lin Qinan still felt a bit unconvinced, but he had to maintain his composure in front of the beautiful woman.
As they entered the elevator, Yan Kongyue casually asked, "Do you have the key?"
"It's a fingerprint lock."
"Then it should be easy."
However, things took a turn for the worse when Lin Qinan's fingerprint failed to unlock the door; even the initial password had been changed.
"Step aside!" Yan Kongyue placed her hand on the keypad, and with a click, the door unlocked.
Just as Lin Qinan was about to ask how she did that, an indescribable sound echoed from the bedroom.
Lin Qinan's face turned to disbelief as he stumbled into the room. Lin Lang instantly felt awkward, but Yan Kongyue walked in without a hint of emotion.
Bang! Lin Qinan kicked open the bedroom door.
A wave of heather fragrance hit him.
"Anqi!" Inside, a man and a woman were entangled in a fierce struggle, completely oblivious to their surroundings. The scene was anything but friendly, and the two others in the room had already turned into mere corpses.
