"Alright! Uncle, I'm going in to take a look!"
"Who are you?" A woman dressed in ancient attire suddenly jumped in front of Yan Kongyue, her face filled with suspicion as she eyed the beautiful girl before her.
Yan Kongyue simply bypassed her and focused on Lin Jingxuan.
"Good, good, good!" Upon seeing Yan Kongyue, Lin Jingxuan felt an inexplicable sense of relief wash over him.
The old man and Aunt remained silent, quietly following behind.
In the hospital room, a strikingly handsome man lay on the bed—Lin Family's Seven Sons. Yan Kongyue had met four of them before, but Lin Lang was even more handsome than those four. His long black hair cascaded over the pristine white pillow, accentuating his fair skin. He had high cheekbones, sharp features, and deep-set eyes framed by thick lashes that resembled feather fans. His full lips were pale and devoid of color.
His body was shrouded in a layer of dark malevolence that only Yan Kongyue could see.
When Lin Jingxuan first laid eyes on his son, he noticed Lin Lang's breathing was extremely weak, and his body was unnaturally cold. If he hadn't placed his fingers near his son's nose to feel the faintest hint of breath, he would have thought Lin Lang was dead.
Just as Yan Kongyue was about to ask what had happened to Lin Lang, she pulled back the covers to reveal that he was still wearing the white costume from filming.
As she untied the garment's strings, revealing his muscular chest, a voice interrupted her.
"What are you doing? Why are you taking off Brother Lang's clothes?" Lin Lang's manager blocked her at the door.
"Enough!"
Lin Jingxuan didn't know who this woman was; he couldn't afford to care about anyone else at that moment. He just couldn't understand what Yan Kongyue intended to do. But when he caught sight of the tattoo on Lin Lang's chest, he blurted out, "When did this kid get a tattoo?"
"It's not a tattoo; it's a drawing. Uncle, call Second Brother and have him control everyone from the crew, especially the stylist," Yan Kongyue whispered so only they could hear.
"Hey! What are you doing here? The doctors in the hospital can't help; you—"
"Shut up!" Yan Kongyue coldly shot back.
The woman in ancient attire stomped her foot in frustration at the door.
Lin Jingxuan trembled as he dialed Lin Zhuo. Having just wrapped up a case at the police station, Lin Zhuo quickly gathered his team and headed over upon receiving Lin Jingxuan's call.
"Yan Kongyue is dealing with a problem regarding the tattoo!"
"Yes, Uncle, clear the room!" Yan Kongyue didn't even lift her head.
She thought that if they removed the tattoo, Lin Lang would wake up. But hearing Yan Kongyue call for a clearance made Lin Jingxuan's heart race again; he still hadn't exhaled fully from earlier.
"Miss, this is a matter concerning our Lin Family. Please leave!" Lin Jingxuan tried to keep his emotions in check; his son's life hung by a thread while this woman continued to cause trouble—it was infuriating.
"I won't leave; I want to stay with Brother Lang!" The agent, feeling helpless, could only pull her a little further away.
"Director, hurry up and get your people out!" Lin Jingxuan, who was easygoing by nature, felt his temper rising due to the woman's incessant chatter.
"Yes, yes, yes!" Qi Dao shot a glare at the woman who seemed oblivious to the situation.
This woman was just a supporting character, playing Lin Lang's maid. However, since she had brought her own investment into the production, Qi Dao couldn't afford to speak too harshly.
