In the midnight streets, after a day of chaos settled down, the familiar strangeness lingered. Having traversed through various realms, Yan Kongyue had long since shed her initial confusion. 0

"I'm exhausted!" From the moment she landed, Yan Kongyue had been on the move. With nowhere specific to go, she decided to sit on the curb and pulled out that white Porcelain Bottle. 0

"Hey, big sister," He Bin's semi-transparent head popped out from the Small Porcelain Bottle. 0

"Don't call me big sister!" Yan Kongyue raised her hand as if to smack him. "I hate being called that!" 0

"Long?" 0

Smack! The slap couldn't be avoided, and Yan Kongyue grabbed He Bin by the ear, fuming. "Who’s long? You’re the long one! Your whole family is long!" 0

"Then how should I address you?" He Bin asked, dazed from the slap. 0

"Just call me by my name. I’m Yan Kongyue!" 0

"Oh! Yan Kongyue!" 0

"Are you familiar with this place? We can't just wander around all night!" 0

"Of course! My home is right across in that neighborhood! You can stay at my place!" 0

"And then?" 0

"And then?" 0

"Right, do you live with your mom or alone?" 0

"I live alone. My mom has been sick these past few days, so she probably won't be able to tidy up my things for a while." 0

"Look at you doing good deeds!" Yan Kongyue shot He Bin a glance and started walking across the street with the Porcelain Bottle in hand. 0

With He Bin's guidance, they arrived at his apartment complex. The elevator stopped on their floor, and as soon as they stepped out, a chill hit them. Yan Kongyue waved her hand, scattering specks of starlight that instantly warmed the eerie cold air. 0

"The one on the left!" 0

After knocking on the door and confirming no one was inside, she entered the password lock. 0

Once inside, Yan Kongyue tugged at He Bin's ear and asked, "Don't tell me you've been living here for the past few days!" 0

"What else would I do? Where else would I go?" 0

"Did Difu not come to pick you up?" Yan Kongyue dropped her backpack and flopped onto the sofa. Beside her, Gui Qi gradually faded away. 0

"Nope!" 0

These bastards must be so engrossed in their games that they can't even pay attention! 0

Sister, are you sure you're talking about Difu? He Bin thought to himself, but what came out of his mouth was, "What do you think would happen if I went to Difu?" 0

Yan Kongyue understood exactly what he was asking. It's not that people are afraid of death; it's the uncertainty of what comes after that worries everyone. 0

Of course, you'd have to face judgment first, especially someone like you who disrespects life. You'd have to endure some hardships down there! 0

"Why is that?" 0

Do you know what kind of criminals are looked down upon by their fellow inmates in the living world’s prisons? 0

"I think I've heard something about it. Is it wall hardening?" 0

"Is there food?" Yan Kongyue rubbed her stomach, trying to change the subject. 0

"There should be something in the fridge!" 0

"It must be rotten after so many days!" 0

"The refrigerator is definitely no good, but there are steaks and frozen dumplings in the frozen section. We can eat those!" 0

"That's great!" Yan Kongyue rubbed her hands together and opened the fridge. She had been in Difu for over three hundred years and hadn't eaten much. Don't ask; if you do, she'll just say she doesn't like offerings. 0

"Oh, there's also a roast chicken in the refrigerator, vacuum sealed. It should still be good!" 0

"Ugh! Don't mention roast chicken to me! Ugh!" Yan Kongyue's eyes welled up with tears at the thought of the offerings laid out on the table. Just thinking about those things made her nauseous. How could anyone endure three hundred years of the same offerings? Even ghosts would find it unbearable; she certainly couldn't handle it—she wasn't a ghost after all. 0

"Oh!" 0
