As Yun Fan stepped out, he immediately heard the cold, mocking voice. Frowning at the unfriendly gaze of the Red-Robed Elder, a cold smile appeared on his lips. He had no intention of taking this person seriously; in the Sect, only the Supreme Elder, the Sect Leader, and the Grand Elder had the authority to deal with Core Disciples.
A calm voice broke through the tension. "I have passed the Core Disciple Assessment and am now a Core Disciple of Heavenly Sword Sect. My status is not much different from yours, so you have no right to deal with me."
Li Qingyang's mouth twitched, his eyes flashing with a fierce light. The status of a Core Disciple indeed equated him with this ordinary elder. Gritting his teeth in anger, he retorted, "You boast too much! With your mere cultivation at the fourth level of Xuan Yuan Realm, you claim to have passed the Core Disciple Assessment? There must be something wrong with the Core Disciple Assessment Hall!"
"You are still just an Inner Sect Disciple," he continued, his voice dripping with contempt. "I have the authority to capture you."
"Seize Yun Fan and bring him back to the Enforcement Hall for punishment!" he commanded.
Dozens of Enforcement Disciples, hearing this order, did not dare to hesitate. They immediately unleashed their Xuan Yuan Realm cultivation and charged toward Yun Fan, intending to capture him.
Seeing them make a move, Yun Fan's lips curled into a cold smile. Now that he was a Core Disciple, he did not care about the identity of these Enforcement Disciples. Moreover, their cultivation levels were merely in the mid to late stages of Xuan Yuan Realm; none of them even reached the Pinnacle of Profound Origin Realm and were simply no match for him.
With his own cultivation erupting, he threw a punch forward.
The dozen or so Enforcement Disciples rushing at him felt an overwhelming surge of energy that made it impossible for them to resist; they had no time to react. In an instant, they were sent flying backward with cries of pain echoing throughout the great hall.
Dozens of them rolled on the ground, nursing their injuries—none were fatal but significant nonetheless.
Yun Fan was not so arrogant as to kill Enforcement Disciples; although he had become a Core Disciple, he knew better than to provoke them recklessly—he wouldn’t survive ten strikes if he did.
Outside, the watching disciples stared wide-eyed in disbelief; Yun Fan had actually dared to attack Enforcement Disciples—such audacity was shocking.
Li Qingyang's heart burned with fury as he witnessed this scene. His face darkened ominously as a chilling voice emerged from him. "Yun Fan! You dare injure Enforcement Disciples? I have the right to kill you on the spot!"
With that, his Diyuan Realm cultivation erupted, unleashing an invisible force that bore down on Yun Fan.
Yun Fan shuddered slightly as if countless mountains were crushing down upon him. He summoned his own cultivation and fought back fiercely against the pressure.
A grave expression appeared in his eyes; this was the pressure of the Diyuan Realm's Divine Sense, rendering him immobile. However, unlike before, he was not directly forced to kneel on the ground.

Resolving to take decisive action, Li Qingyang decided to strike first and eliminate this threat. The Old Man was merely performing his duties in enforcing the Sect's rules. Besides, it was Yun Fan who had made the first move by injuring a disciple of the Enforcement Hall; thus, the Sect would likely not punish him too harshly. While he might not be able to protect the Enforcer Hall Elder, becoming an ordinary elder should not pose a problem.
With his third-layer cultivation of the Diyuan Realm surging forth, he thrust his palm toward Yun Fan, intending to crush him outright.
Yun Fan felt the terrifying attack approaching and ignited with a sense of impending doom. Fear wrapped around him like a shroud as he locked eyes with Li Qingyang, his gaze burning red with determination. One thought consumed him: if he survived this encounter, he would surely take revenge.
