Wu Yao let out a faint sigh upon hearing this. If they had no idea where Yun Fan was, there was no one who could save them.
The group before them was powerful, with several individuals at the True Essence Realm Ninth Layer Peak. It was rumored that the strongest among them was a Heavenly Talent from the Xuan Yuan Realm, a force so formidable that they could rank in the top ten during the Recruitment Assessment.

Yun Tian nodded at his words, a glimmer of hope appearing in his eyes. If there was a chance to flee, they had to try. After all, staying here meant they were constantly at risk of losing their lives.
After discussing among themselves, they all showed determination in their eyes and decided to sneak away during the night. However, on the other side of the valley, a young man was watching Yun Tian and the others with a cold smile.
Time passed slowly.
The dark night gradually descended, and a crescent moon hung in the sky, casting its pale light over the valley. In a secluded corner, Yun Tian, Yun Ding, and Wu Yao observed that the guards around them were somewhat lax.
Excitement gleamed in their eyes as they quietly made their way toward the distant forest. Just then, a voice echoed from behind them.
"They're trying to escape!"
As Wu Yao and Yun Tian were about to enter the forest, they felt their bodies tense at the sound and turned to look back. They saw a young man approaching with several others. When they recognized his face, shock washed over them.
They erupted in anger. "Li Xiong! You traitor! How dare you betray us as fellow citizens of Yongyang County!"
Li Xiong dismissed their outrage with a sneer. "If I can eliminate all the Heavenly Talents from the Yun Family and Wu Family here, then my Li Family will dominate Dongyang County City. In just over a decade, we will surely reign over all of Yongyang County."
The guards' eyes turned fierce as they fixed their gaze on the group before them, cold voices ringing out ominously.
"Not following orders and daring to escape, you must be seeking death!"
With that, several figures rushed forward, their powerful auras surging as they aimed to eliminate the few in front of them, using their deaths as a warning to the others.
Wu Yao, Yun Ding, and Yun Tian watched as the guards charged after them, not daring to linger any longer. They could only channel their True Essence Power from their Dantian and sprint deeper into the forest, hoping to escape this place.
The chase quickly turned into a frantic flight through the woods. The three weaker Wu Family Disciples lagged behind, and before long, they were caught by the pursuing guards. With a single strike, they were killed instantly, their bodies collapsing to the ground in a pool of blood.
Wu Yao felt a sharp pain at the sight, tears welling up in his eyes. Of the four Wu Family Disciples who had come for this assessment, three were now dead. Even if he managed to escape, the Wu Family would be left in dire straits.
Yun Tian, witnessing this scene, felt a surge of urgency. If they continued fleeing like this, they would surely perish. He shouted in anger, "We need to split up and run! Every one of us must try to escape!"
Wu Yao and Yun Ding nodded in agreement at his words and immediately took off in different directions through the forest.
