Yun Fan did not regard the Heavenly Talents before him because he was confident in his own abilities. Within the Zhenjing, there was no one who could match him. Only those from the Xuanjing could pique his interest.
As they searched for an inn in the bustling street, they found that after visiting over a dozen establishments, none had any available rooms; all were fully occupied.
Yun Hai furrowed his brow and couldn't help but sigh. "It seems we have arrived too late. The inns in this town are already full. We have no choice but to find a corner to sleep in for a few nights."
Yun Tian and Yun Yan nodded in agreement. As cultivators, spending a few nights outdoors was not an insurmountable challenge.
Yun Fan felt a pang of guilt. After all, returning too late had delayed their participation in the assessment by half a month, forcing everyone to sleep on the streets.
They slowly walked into an inn and Yun Fan politely asked the Innkeeper, "Is there truly no room available? I would be willing to pay double."
Zhong Boss, hearing this, wore a bitter smile and quickly shook his head. "It's not that I don't want to provide you with a room, young sir. The entire Xingyue Town has been fully booked for half a month now; there are simply no vacancies."
Upon hearing this, Yun Fan sighed softly. It seemed that even money could not solve this problem. After all, a business owner would not drive out existing guests just to accommodate new ones, as it would tarnish their reputation.
Just then, Zhong Boss spoke up slowly. "Young sir, there is indeed one inn in Xingyue Town that has plenty of courtyards available for lodging without requiring spirit stones."
Yun Fan's eyes lit up at this news. "Where is this inn?" he asked eagerly.
The boss stroked his mustache thoughtfully and scrutinized Yun Fan before responding with a smile, "This inn is called Tian Jiao Inn and is located right in the center of the town. Although it has many empty courtyards, not everyone can stay there. As the name suggests, only Heavenly Talents are allowed to reside within its walls. You must defeat the guards at the entrance to gain entry."
Yun Fan nodded upon hearing this and instantly disappeared from sight.
Zhong Boss was still chattering away when he suddenly noticed that Yun Fan had disappeared, and he couldn't help but curl his lip in disdain. This Young Man was truly impatient; defeating the guard would be incredibly difficult, requiring at least a peak cultivation level of True Realm Ninth Layer.
After leaving the inn, Yun Fan looked at Yun Hai and the others with a smile. "Uncle Hai, please wait a moment at this inn. I've found another place nearby with available rooms. I'll go check if I can stay there."
Upon hearing this, Yun Hai nodded. Finding a place to stay was certainly better than sleeping on the streets.
Although there were no rooms available, there were still plenty of places to eat. So, the group ordered several dishes and began to enjoy their meal inside the inn.
Yun Fan made his way down the street toward the center of town and soon arrived outside Tian Jiao Inn, where a crowd had gathered. They seemed to be watching an intense duel unfolding before them.
Outside Tian Jiao Inn, the guard stationed at the entrance was displaying his True Realm Peak strength as he clashed with a Young Man at the True Realm Ninth Layer. The battle between the two was fierce, drawing gasps of astonishment from the onlookers.
Yun Fan squeezed his way through the crowd, watching as the fight escalated in intensity.
