Yun Fan slowly left the Withered Leaf Swamp and entered the forest, heading in a different direction. The Shadow Wolf Clan was located on the outskirts of the Desolate Mountain Range, specifically in Qing Shan Ling, an area inhabited by numerous herbivorous beasts. This is why the Shadow Wolf Clan settled here, allowing them to hunt the surrounding beasts for survival.
As he traversed through the mountains and into the vast forest, Yun Fan encountered several Early Stage One beasts along the way, which he swiftly dispatched with a single sword strike. Unfortunately, he did not find any Demon Beast Inner Pills. Instead, he collected some useful materials, placing them into his storage bag, knowing he could exchange them for spirit stones at the Treasure Pavilion.
Navigating through the trees with agility, Yun Fan soon approached the vicinity of Qing Shan Ling. Suddenly, he heard hurried footsteps ahead, accompanied by the sounds of clashing weapons. The leaves trembled as he spotted a man and a woman running towards him, panic etched on their faces. Upon seeing Yun Fan, a glimmer of hope appeared in their eyes.
The woman, her hair flowing as she ran, revealed a fairly delicate face and exclaimed with surprise, "Sir, could you please help us?" Before Yun Fan could respond, they hurried closer.
Yun Fan frowned slightly, feeling displeased and preparing to tell them to leave. Just then, from the bushes ahead, dozens of figures surged forth, weapons drawn, surrounding them completely. The leader of this group had a scarred face and a sinister expression. He wielded a Gui Tou and scanned the group with a cold smile.
"Zhao Yanran," he sneered, "you filthy bitch! Why have you stopped running? You thought you could steal from our Leader and escape? The heavens will make you pay for this." He turned his gaze to Yun Fan and added venomously, "And you, traitor! To betray our Leader for this bitch—heaven must punish you both!"
At these words, Zhao Yanran and her companion trembled in fear, their eyes wide with terror at the sight of Scarface. Zhao Yanran looked at Yun Fan beside her. Dressed in luxurious robes with an extraordinary demeanor, he seemed to be from a prominent family. His ability to venture alone into the Desolate Mountain Range suggested he was no weakling. A flicker of hope ignited in her eyes as she mustered her courage to speak again.
"Can this young master lend a hand to save me? I assure you, I will repay your kindness," she said, slightly arching her graceful figure to reveal a glimpse of her enchanting beauty.
Yun Fan's gaze remained indifferent as he cast a brief glance at her; indeed, she possessed an impressive figure. However, he was a man of integrity and virtue, not one to be swayed by mere beauty. Moreover, it was evident that those around him were embroiled in conflict, and he had no desire to get involved.
With an impatient expression, he replied coldly, "I don't even know you. Why should I help you? Whatever grievances you have, settle them as you wish. I'm leaving."
After saying this, Yun Fan took a step forward, preparing to depart without any intention of entangling himself in their troubles. He had no intention of letting his desires lead him into trouble with the mercenaries before him over a single woman.
