"Just tell me what you know. Don't worry, I won't harm you."
I looked at Kang Qin with sincere eyes, knowing she must have some information. I understood that her reluctance to speak was due to fear of getting into trouble, but that only made me more certain that what she knew was significant.
Kang Qin glanced at me. I had treated her well during this time, and she must have felt it; otherwise, she wouldn't be concerned enough to share this with me now.
"In fact, your Brother Two is connected to Hongmen."
Kang Qin hesitated for a moment but eventually revealed it to me. I was taken aback!
"What? Lu Xian is connected to Hongmen?"

Kang Qin said this with a hint of sadness in her voice. I frowned upon hearing it. If what she said was true, then it really meant that Lu Xian had ties to Hongmen!
"How do you know about this?" I asked. Typically, family members shouldn't be aware of an undercover agent's identity. How could Kang Qin know such confidential information about her father?
"That time, your Brother Two took my dad out for a meal, and I happened to be working there part-time. I saw my dad, and at that moment, both my mom and I didn't know why he wasn't home. So I secretly watched and ended up witnessing your Brother Two kill my dad. This is what they told me."
Kang Qin cried as she spoke. I frowned again; if things were as Kang Qin described, then it indeed seemed true—Lu Xian really had connections to Hongmen!
"If that's the case, then Du Tao is also linked to Hongmen. Does that mean Lu Xian and Du Tao are in cahoots?"
"But they mentioned Nan Hongmen," she said. "I've heard about them; the people from Nan Hongmen are quite formidable. You mustn't offend your Brother Two! You just arrived and don't know how ruthless he can be. If you cross him, he will definitely harm you."
Kang Qin wiped her tears and told me about Nan Hongmen.

I had heard rumors about the internal strife within Qing Gang, but the turmoil in Hongmen was even worse. At least Qing Gang remained a large gang despite its conflicts, while Hongmen had already splintered.
Nan Hongmen must be one of the factions within Hongmen. Du Tao and Lu Xian were likely not part of the same Hongmen; they probably weren't allies.
"Kang Qin, who have you told about this? Also, why did you come to Qing Gang?"
I looked at Kang Qin and wondered why she had appeared in Qing Gang. I had never asked about this before, but it seemed that her presence here was not a coincidence; she must have her own motives. Was she seeking revenge for her father? With her strength, it would undoubtedly be like a moth to a flame.
After I finished questioning her, Kang Qin immediately grew tense. As expected, she had come to Qing Gang with the intent of avenging her father.
"First, tell me, who have you shared this information with?" I asked Kang Qin. If she spoke carelessly about this matter, it could lead to dire consequences. She shook her head and replied, "I know I can't talk about this recklessly, so I haven't told anyone."
"But you must remember to keep your desire for revenge in check. This is Qing Gang, and you know its power. Do not attempt to get close to him," I warned Kang Qin. She responded with a soft "mm" and nodded, but whether she truly understood my words was uncertain.
I sighed helplessly; perhaps in the future, I would really need to keep an eye on this girl.
The Enforcement Hall conducted a routine investigation into Liu Chuang, and as expected, it was confirmed that he was indeed responsible for the incident. The person sentenced by the court was merely taking the blame for Liu Chuang. According to Qing Gang's family rules, Liu Chuang was executed that very day.

"Kang Qin! You should leave!" I called out to her. With her father's killer right in front of her, I feared that Kang Qin might not be able to control her emotions and reveal her hostility to Lu Xian.
Upon hearing me, Kang Qin stood up and walked out of the office. Lu Xian glanced at her and sneered, "What’s wrong, Third Brother? Your little secretary isn’t bad—she has both charm and figure—but do you really think that if you go against me, I won’t make everything you have vanish into thin air? You really believe Lu Fei treats you well? Once you're dead, Lu Fei won't even care about your grave!"
Lu Xian shouted angrily at me, maintaining that arrogant demeanor of his.
I couldn't help but smile at his words; I had no doubt about what he said—especially after learning about his connections with Nan Hongmen. Previously, I had underestimated him; the strength possessed by Lu Xian and Lu Fei was not something trivial.
But so what?
I was the third son of Lu Ding Tian. Right now, Lu Fei must have sent someone to follow me—not to protect me but to wait for the moment when Lu Xian couldn't resist killing me!

I quickly protested with an innocent expression. I was just playing dumb; Lu Xian wouldn’t really take action against me face-to-face. It wouldn’t be good for him if Lu Ding Tian found out about this. He could only arrange for a hitman or have someone from Nan Hongmen secretly assassinate me.
But if that were the case, what if I managed to evade an assassination attempt? Then it would be Lu Xian who found himself in a passive position!
Alright! You want to be stubborn, huh? I’ll show you! Someone! Bring the Tiger to me!
Lu Xian shouted angrily. Before long, his underling brought the Tiger in. When the Tiger entered the room, he looked nervous and respectfully greeted us both.

“Uncle Tiger, what did you say? How come I didn’t hear anything? Stop messing around; Brother Two is already furious!”
I frowned at Uncle Tiger and saw him freeze in shock. He thought I was trying to set him up and was terrified.
"Ah, Yan Shao Ye, please don't joke around. This isn't funny. Didn't I tell you the other day? I said the Second Young Master called, and I even reminded you. All these decisions were made by you," Uncle Tiger said with a troubled expression.
But I remained completely bewildered, refusing to acknowledge it!
